I thought that this was a terrific book! Most of the maps are clear and concise but not all. I would like to see a little better quality throughout. I would imangine there is a reason that not all the maps are clear. I was disappointed that the book is a 1997 version. There have been lots of improvements thoughtout the hills and I would love to see them. I would definately buy this book again. Just let me know when the most current version is available. Vail is missing here?

Why aren't there more great books like this one with real substance, humor, love and life. This had it all. Best to read quickly so that you can keep all the various characters in mind-- a bit like going to a new country and being filled to the brim with it all.

I spent my summers visiting various coastal resorts in New England, so I enjoyed leafing through the pages of this book and revisiting some of my favorite haunts. While I can't appreciate the subtle architectural detail discussed in this volume, I did appreciate the historical background that was presented as a context at many points in the book. And, of course, the pictures are wonderful, from the coffee-table appropriate cover shot to the many black and white period photos that support the narrative.

I bought this book after I realized I had a desire to see and soak in as many hot springs as I can. Unfortunately I will be going to AZ in the summer and it will be too hot. The book is well written, informative and gives a beginner soaker all the necessary information that they will need to enjoy this experience including precautions and clear descriptions of the experience. I will be touring the only hot spring in the location this summer that will be close to my destination and that is OK to go during the summer. Without this book, I would not have known which springs would be insanity to go into during summer months.

I have owned this book since the 80s. It is a great reference, even if it is old. Gives great suggestions throughout the States on interesting and unique places to stay. I have never been disappointed by any recommendation in the book.

If you ignore the horrible, misleading cover, you'll find a brand new Charlie Green mystery complete with all your favorite characters, Mitch Hilston, Libby the Brat and more! If you disregard the lack of any promotion on this book and Ms. Milhiser's 40 page rant about how hard it is to get published (which completely interrupts the story), you finally get to the good stuff, and yes, it gets good, frenetic, funny and just as much fun as her others. You do get totally confused with so many characters acting weird, appearing, disappearing and causing chaos, but she sorts it out in the end and explains ties it all up with no loose ends. The plot is your basic go to Northern California spa with Maggie, have murders, FBI, local cops, and other, may other different authorities invade while all Charlie's friends hide in the walls. Yes, that's what I said. In the walls.

this is a good "user friendly" guideto Rv campgrounds. they use ratingsfrom Rv campers to update annually.the ratings are quite accurate althoughsometimes they are a year late to include a new campground. the easeof use and large size print helps. Weuse others in conjunction with Wheelersbut recommend it 4-stars.

Really useful book with good advice about nearly every snowboard resort in the world!

If you're planning a trip but don't yet know where you want to go, this book will certainly help you make a good choice!

This is a handy book to have to answer any questions about salon services, including tipping amounts. I refered to this book because I wasn't sure how to tip one of my technicians, and this book was really helpful.
