As is fitting for a guide on Orlando, the bulk of this book is focused on the various theme parks. In addition, all the standard Fodor's material is here covering restaurants and hotels.

For the most part I found the material to be very useful and accurate. The strategies they give you for avoiding long lines for rise at the theme parks are spot-on. The book also gives descriptions and ratings of every ride and attraction at each park. The descriptions are almost too detailed (if you want any surprises) and their ratings are sometimes too generous. Still, the material is often helpful in deciding which rides to make sure you see and what can be skipped if time is short.

All in all this is an excellent book that was extremely helpful to me on my trips to Orlando. The writing is clear and concise, the information is organized logically, and the information is accurate and useful. You won't find a better guide to the Orlando area and its theme parks.

In the 1970's, two sisters, aged 10 and thirteen, take a vacation in a coastal Italian island with their parents. After several days of orientation around the island and its beaches and scenery, a married friend of the family visits them. Some odd friendships develop, and even stranger things happen, in this short but excellent story told from the viewpoint of the younger sister. Wonderful descriptions, finely toned relationships, and a grand finale make this fine way to spend your time this summer, especially reading the beach!..But this is much superior to your standard "Beach Reading" fare!

Lynn Crawford writes with absolute assurance. Intelligence, wit, and brillliant language. Crawfords ability to weave fine detail and ephemeral insight are awe-inspiring.

i read this book in one day,thats how good it was.ok so madison gets 2 bring aimee along on there ski trip but on the way they keep running into bad luck,like they get a flat tire,and snow gets into there hotel room.well at 1rst madison is worried that the rest of the trip is going to go "downhill" untill she meets a boy named hugh,who she is crushing on major.she begins to forget about hart.well then things get even worse because her and aimee keep fighting constanley about stupid stuff.and well thats all i can tell ya,so read the book yourself and find out what happens!

Glenwood Springs - The History of a Rocky Mountain Resort is not the typical history book. All of the information is there - from the formation of the geology up to the present day, along with a wealth of vintage photographs. However, Nelson's easy writing style makes the history a treat to read.

This is a great little book, full of lots of little indulgences and relaxing spa treatments you can cook up at home. I originally bought it as a gift for a friend, and she loved it so much and had so much fun with it, I bought one for myself. My daughter and her friends recently got their hands on it and now swear by the Zip Zapper. My suggestions? Drive-Time Hand and Nail Treatment, Peppermint Compress, and Midnight Bath.

The book covers more than 600 courses. The authors have rated the top 50, breaking those down into 38 large and 12 small resorts."

If you have one or more non-golfers in the family, it's important to plan your golf vacation for where there are things for the others to do while you're on the course. Our family had been planning a Myrtle Beach vacation and had found lots of "general" info on the web, but this book speaks directly to golfers with non-golfers in the group, so it was tremendously helpful to us. We're already planning a trip to Florida for next summer, based on this book's recommendations. It might be time for an update, though...we found Myrtle Beach has added a number of family-type attractions as well as some first-class courses since this book was published.

This book is a wonderful tribute to the gradeur of an amazing time in American History. These hotels are just spectacular, they really just don't have the masons or the desire quite frankly, to build buildings like this anymore. The black and white images in this book are simply breath taking, they are so crisp and elegant. The reader really gets a feel for what the hotels looked like at their inseption, at the time they where inspired. The Jazz Age was an era of unbelieveble wealth for a lucky few and they enjoyed spending it and expected only the best, there was a real sence of America starting her accendency to greatness and the affluent wanted to show that the best of America could rival anything in Europe, this was the catalist for these sumptuous hotels. The Jazz Age is of course long gone, but we have examples, like these grand hotels, to remind of an era of opulent wealth..and no income tax.
