I can't belive it .... this 1996 erotic novel released in 2003 as a Blue Moon edition and it's already out of print ....

If you are looking for pretty well straight sex in a contemporary erotic novel then this is IT.... A young Sue Millington, was shocked to find her husband of three years unceremoniously dump her for her closest friend... HMMMM gotta keep your eyes on those friends .... I mean the sex with her husband Jim was super super and poor little Sue hadn't even suspected that Jim was having dinner AND desert at more than one table....

Almost immediately the story does take a great twist. Instead of eating chocolate ice cream for weeks and weeks, Sue decides to just plain take revenge on the institution of marriage and pretty well any husband that comes within her reach. That sure cures the condecending looks she got from her female friends and neighbours .......

Needless to say any girl that finds herself in that position may be tempted to do the same thing as Sue, but be forewarned she not only has to let any and all semblance of conscience leave her body completetly but she has some very 'heavy lifting' to do as she seduces each and every married man and, well now why stop there, seduce a few of her married female friends as well ....

Page for page there are more couplings in this book than a two mile long freight train .... I loved it .... The story is great, and, although the reader knows what is happening it did keep my interest to the end of the book .. that, in itself, I thought, was amazing. Fair warning though for those readers that like a more intelectual erotica .. this book may have a lot of heavy breathing but is not heavy reading, thats for sure!

A self-help guide to dealing with self-destructive behaviors
Helpful Votes: 10 out of 10 total.
Review Date: 2005-01-04
Written by a licensed professional clinical counselor, who left the ministry to persue counseling full time, Stop Running Away: Confront The Guilt, Regret & Remorse That Haunt You is a straightforward self-help guide to dealing with self-destructive behaviors and the negative emotions that come from them. A very serious but thoroughly "user friendly" guide for do-it-yourself personal improvement, Stop Running Away uses acronyms and professional guidelines to help the reader identify the sources of behaviors that cause "skeletons" of permanent remorse, whether stemming from a traumatic childhood, hanging out with the wrong crowd, use of intoxicants (for some people even one drink is one drink too many) or other causes. Strategies for taking steps to not only repay the wrong, or find a way to make amends even if the wronged party cannot be found or apologized too, as well as improving oneself in order to avoid similar wrongs in the future, are outlined in meticulous detail. An excellent turnaround book for anyone struggling to change ingrained yet harmful behaviors, Stop Running Away is very highly recommended reading.

This wonderful book reminds us that it is never too late to change. It represents a call to action...a challenge to all those who see the need to change their behavior. The book promises to help...and it delivers on that promise.

There is a wonderful old Turkish proverb that comes to mind,
"No matter how far you have gone on a wrong road, turn back."

Einstein's seminal works commented on by Stephen Hawking
Helpful Votes: 19 out of 20 total.
Review Date: 2008-01-06
The most highly celebrated and recognized scientist alive today, Stephen Hawking has assembled, in this volume, highlights of Einstein's groundbreaking scientific works, such as his Special Theory of Relativity (1905) and his General Theory of Relativity (1915).

Also included are Einstein's thoughtful views on politics, religion, the history and development of physics, and the interplay between science and the world.

In a chapter titled "Selections from Out of My Later Years," Hawking discusses Einstein's reservations concerning quantum mechanics: "Einstein pointed out that if we were able to investigate microscopic phenomena on the smallest scales, we would be able to find deterministic relations." In other words, Einstein had serious doubts about the validity of Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle, and rejected the fundamentally probabilistic nature of reality espoused by those who held to the workings of chance and randomness at the quantum (microscopic) level. "God does not play dice with the universe," he famously opined; "God is subtle but he is not malicious." He held adamantly (some would say stubbornly) to his belief that physical reality is, at bottom, deterministic.

Hawking gives brief introductions to each of Einstein's papers, thereby providing helpful historical and scientific perspectives.

Einstein once said, "Do not worry about your difficulties in mathematics. I can assure you mine are still greater." Yeah, right! Einstein is much too modest.

In a sense, however, Einstein is correct. Although this volume is replete with mathematical equations, one can read between the lines and gain an improved understanding of his revolutionary theories of spacetime and gravitation.

Einstein makes us smile with his wry humor: "Today I am described in Germany as a 'German savant,' and in England as a 'Swiss Jew.' Should it ever be my fate to be represetned as a bete noire, I should, on the contrary, become a 'Swiss Jew' for the Germans and a 'German savant' for the English."

The book's title of comes from another Einstein quote, "People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion."

Imagine where we would be if these two, Einstein and Hawking, had worked together!
Hawking puts information into the theories and makes for a more complete understanding into Einstein's times and mind.
A very good book, well versed and full of information, layed out and explained in their own words.

My sons are just starting to get involved in soccer, and I wanted a book that would help me to understand the game better and give me some ideas for at-home practice. This book is excellent! There is a chapter that deals with skill practice as well as several chapters that cover specific offensive and defensive strategies and tactics. All of the drills are clearly described and the figures are exceptionally good and easy to follow. The book also contains information about the game that has helped me to understand it much more thoroughly than before -- the author's writing style is clear, logical, and easy to follow. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has any interest in soccer at any level...it's fantastic!

Successful Soccer Coaching is an excellent book for any coach. I am currently coaching a jr. high girls' team and I have built many practices and produced several game strategies with help from this resource. There are many practice drills, offensive and defensive strategies, goalkeeper training, and an extremely effective kick-off. The "Terry kick-off" works very well but is also simple enough to use at any level. I would highly recommend this book to any new or veteran coach. It is a must-have for your coaching library!

This book covers eleven information professionals who started their own business and succeeded. Each chapter is dedicated to one person, sporting his or her picture, a short bio, their email address and their URL. The chapters are written in a casual, interview style which is makes it a highly interesting read.
These individuals were asked about their background and how they became interested in the field they are working in. The logistics of starting their own business and the pitfalls were discussed, along with specific questions that pertained to their expertise.

Here are the fields that are covered:

Business Research
Aviation Expertise
Healthcare Industry Monitoring
Intellectual Property and Patents
Public Records
Civic Entrepreneurship
Corporate Libaries
Canadian Business Information
Value-added Research
Search Engines
On-line Information Gathering

I'll admit that I jumped to the chapter of Lynn Peterson: The Craft of Public Records, as it pertained to my own interests. She began doing background checks on prospective nannies. Today, she has assignments in the legal and corporate fields as well as with private individuals. Her story was inspiring and informative.
The Appendix offers some good sources and websites for research, books, and print media. I'd recommend this book for anyone who is interested in starting their own research business.
