NASCAR Team Mercer driver Kane Jackson is one of the best on the circuit and has a pretty good chance of winning the overall championship. However, in spite of his strong season, he is depressed because he made a monster mistake when he dumped his crew chief Lexie Mercer; not from the pit, but from the bedroom. He would give up racing if that would give him a second chance with her.

However, he has two major obstacles in his way to regain his beloved. First her father, his boss, opposes their relationship out of fear that it will cost the team the championship; second his father, a former NFL star does not think of NASCAR as a sport. Finally the biggest barrier is Lexie. Although she still loves Kane, she fears a personal relationship will hinder his chances at winning the championship.

This second chance at love stars a superb lead couple who both want to get back toegether, but the NASCAR championship keeps them apart as each has reasons not to pursue the other. Fans will enjoy the antics of Kane and Lexie to keep their desires in second gear, but their hearts keep accelerating. Can they gain the checkered flag and each other, or will they have to choose between their second love NASCAR and their first love one another?

I recommend this book because nascar is a great sport. If you're a nascar fan then you will like this book because it has alot of cool information about historical races.

I learned that Lee Petty, in his 27 years of racing, won 200 races!!! I also learned about Dale Earnhart, Jeff Gordon, and more. It says Ricky Rudd and Kurt Busch were fighting for the win at Darlington, but in the Winner's Circle they gave each other a congratulation hug.

I gave this book 4 stars because I liked the stats it gave in the book.

NASCAR Nextel Cup series champion Kent Grosso and renowned wedding photographer Tanya Wells are in love. Kent plans to propose to her. However, he is stunned when he receives an email threatening to expose him as a cheat in college. Still ashamed, he knows this will devastate his parents who think the world of him. Worse it will upset ethical Tanya and her honest parents.

Tanya thought she knew her beloved, but she is stunned to learn he hid his youthful indiscretion from her. Kent tries to make it up to his Tanya, but the blackmailing e-mailer sends him something much more disturbing; the person claims Kent's mother got away with running over a member of the rival NASCAR Murphy family years ago.

This engaging NASCAR contemporary romance stars two fine protagonists whose relationship is harmed perhaps permanently when Kent failed to tell his beloved his college mistake. The story line is at his best while he struggles to explain only to have a more powerful incident to nuke his well-being and test his resolve to tell Tanya the whole truth. Although the blackmailer scenario is not resolved leaving fans to wonder why not; IN HIGH GEAR is a fast trip around the oval.

The Jenner family is legends on the NASCAR racing circuit. The father Brandon and his son Dave are highly regarded drivers and the daughter Annie is a well known Sports Illustrated photographer. Annie is working on a book following the exploits of her twin brother Dave when he is in an accident.

Soon afterward she meets tycoon Jared MacNeil, the sponsor of Dave's top opponent, Tucker. Jared knows he loves Annie, but fears she may be part of the team with her sibling to sabotage Tucker's car. Annie knows she loves Jared, but after a bad marriage and heeding Dave's accusations towards Tucker, she wonders if she can trust him. This relationship appears doomed to never reach the checkered flag.

The team competition makes for a fun NASCAR romance as the lead couple struggle between loyalty and love. The story line is fast around the track as the heated rivalry between Dave and Tucker especially the sabotage hinder the relationship between Annie and Jared. Although Katherine Garbera provides a nice spin, this one could have been legendary if the author dug deep into the trauma of being a Romeo and Juliet NASCAR pair in love.

Mark Martin is probably my favorite driver of all time, since I've been a fan of his for about 20 years and my NASCAR experience goes back more than 35 years. He's honest, loyal, hard-working, tenacious, respectful and very respected around the tracks, and author Kathy Persinger captures these and other traits of Mark in her book. It follows his life from birth to the last few years, and does a fair job of that. This book, part of a driver series, does not shed a lot of new light on Mark, is a rather short biography, and is probably better meant for someone just beginning to explore NASCAR or a younger fan. In this context, it is a fine book, one that they would enjoy.

Quality pictures, one of the better calendars I've bought in terms of the photographs. Good gift for a Nascar fan.

This is a good book that shares a lot of interesting quotes, photos and summary information about each of the 25 races. It is well written and brought back some memories of races I also thought were great. Really the only thing I did not like about the book is that they were grouped in to 4 catagories and not ranked like a "top ten list". I actually did not realize they were numbered until I got to about the 3rd or 4th race. Other than that, it is a good book and a quick read. Great for new/fairly new fans to the sport.

Although entitled "NASCAR Racers Road Thunder," this children's book is an adaptation of "Heroes," the third episode in the NASCAR Racers animated series (a.k.a. Part 3 of "NASCAR Racers: The Movie"). Obviously the story had to be simplified for its intended 4-8 year old reading level -- hence the references to the characters only by their nicknames -- but overall it is a faithful adaptation. The only two complaints I have involve the illustrations: (1) that the Rexcor cars do not have their numbers depicted, and (2) in the section where Zorina attempts to wreck Stunts, Flyer's car is shown instead.

The asphalt company was at fault for wrecking her truck. Rocksolid Insurance offers to provide Charlotte based personal trainer Terri Whelan with the market value of her vehicle; she rejects their offer; demanding they fix her customized special NASCAR race fan truck that she and her dad upgraded. A beleaguered customer service employee forwards Terri's call to Max Harper, a Rising Stars program trainee; he accepts the call because he believes a real customer complaint would prove more beneficial in his training than the tapes he has been given. He agrees to look into her demands.

Terri meets Max and his twelve year old daughter Mandy over a commercial the adults are both indirectly involved in. Terri and Max are attracted to one another, but his first interest remains rightfully so his tweener. Besides Mandy's mom, Los Angeles drama queen Lola knows that what Lola wants Lola gets and she wants Terri gone; not that she wants Max back.

This entertaining contemporary romance stars two likable lead protagonists, a strong positive support cast, and a mom who offers no redeeming values. The lead couple is a wonderful pairing from their first telephonic encounter. However his ex-wife trying to destroy their relationship fails to come out of the starting gate let alone make it around the oval to the finish line. Still overall TAILSPIN is a fun second chance at love for him and first time for her tale.
