Football Books

I was iffy about this, because of the other photos. Luckily, this product has exceeded my expectations. I don't know why there are "other views" of this calendar, they aren't from this product. Wish you could see the back!

Some of the other posters, besides the front, are Nebraska - Pittsburgh from 1928, Oregon State vs. Nebraska from 1947, Arizona - Nebraska from 1967, etc. The calendar is spiral bound and states that it is archival quality. Lots of neat artwork. I am buying it for a big Husker fan and think the posters will make nice framed art for his football room.

You need a narrow interest, but there are millions of college sports fans with that kind of interest. They have a good selection of schools to choose from. The posters are nostalgic without being a bunch of action shots. What can you say that's negative. It's a calendar. All the dates are in the right place. 'nuff said.

The American Football League (AFL) accomplished something that no other rival league in American pro sports history ever has -- a merger with the established league that preserved all its members. Every AFL franchise forced its way into the NFL -- with Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Cleveland joining the 10 AFL clubs to form the newly-configured American Football Conference (AFC), starting with the 1970 season.

This book traces the origins of the AFL in the late 1950s by examining each of the eight original franchises. If you are a Dolphins or Bengals fan, be advised your team is not in this book as they were AFL expansion franchises that started play in 1966, and 1968, respectively.

If you remember the AFL you'll love this book. If you are merely AFL-curious, go ahead and give it a shot. Of all the books about the early days of the AFL, this has to be in the top five.

Its no doubt in bad taste for one of those few mentioned on the acknowledgment page to review a book but this is truly one for the Giants fan. When a historical perspective is written by an academic researcher skilled in his profession, one that can craft a communicative dialogue, and has a burning passion for the team and sport he is writing about, you have a winner. The presentations of 50 Greatest Plays is a presentation of Giants history, nicely illustrated, with a wonderful balance of the old and new that will appeal to fans of the Giants and pro football that will span the appreciation from Mel Hein through the Gifford-Huff-Tittle years, with plenty for the contemporary fan who has enjoyed LT and the 2007 season Super Bowl Championship. In short, any football or football history lover will want this book.

The Immaculate Reception is the No. 1 play in this Pittsburgh Steelers football history. This book contains 49 more for Black and Gold fans to enjoy.

anything ohio state is good. very interesting, and learn a lot of history about ohio state.

I bought this for the cd single of the Super Bowl Shuffle. The song sounds loud and clear and is the best copy I've been able to find. I'm glad to have another rare 80s song on cd.

90 MINUTES: THE GREATEST MOMENTS FROM THE WORLD CUP is a memoir and history any World Cup fan will find engrossing, capturing the sport's highlights in dramatic, artistic full-page color photos accompanied by a captain which cites details of the match portrayed. Soccer is played by millions around the world, so the potential audience for a keepsake edition like 90 MINUTES will prove vast.

I read this book in 5 days that is how amazing it is. Aaron Brooks is one of my favorite players and the saints are my favorite team. This book is really interesting and the more I read the more I wanted to read. Aaron keep doing what ur doing because you and your book is great!

I first found this story in Sports Illustrated when I was a kid growing up in Pennsylvania. It was a three-part series, and I couldn't wait for each issue to come out week after week. I read the stories over and over. Needless to say, I've been a Steelers fan ever since. Mr. Blount is literary artist, and this is one of his masterpieces. Gritty and gripping. I can't wait to read more of his work.
