I LOVED THE INSIGHT THAT CHAD'S BOOK OFFERS SPORT FANS. IT'S ALWAYS A PRIVILEDGE TO GET A GLIMPSE INSIDE A CELEBRITY'S LIFE AND CHAD DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. AS FOR CHAD'S BRAND OF TRASH TALK, I'D ADVISE ANY PRO SPORTS FAN TO READ A BOOK CALLED 'TRASH TALK' BY ROBERT GUSSIN. IT'S A SPORTS COMEDY BONANZA. CHAD, HAVE YOU READ IT?

Highly recommended as an upbeat, in-depth portrait of an athlete who happens to be a positive role model.

Written by "Cincinnati Enquirer" sports columnist Paul Daugherty, Chad: I Can't Be Stopped is the true-life story of National Football League superstar Chad Johnson - well known for his professional prowess, and perhaps also known for his touchdown celebrations that prompted the NFL to tighten their rules on what is considered a permissible expression of victory. Black-and-white photographs illustrate this candid story of Chad the person as well as Chad the expert football player. "Says Hue Jackson, Bengals receiver coach and one of Johnson's few confidantes, 'Chad doesn't drink or smoke. He's not a guy that has to be out among the celebrities. I don't lose sleep on Saturday nights, worrying about Chad Johnson.'" Highly recommended as an upbeat, in-depth portrait of an athlete who happens to be a positive role model.

Chad I can't be stopped, is and incredible book. I give this peice of work 5 stars. The way the author goes into complete depth and detail is amazing. Also the authors tell many stories which are told in Chad's his prospective about how he plays and performs in the football games. Many of my favorite parts are when Bessie Mae talks about her grandson Chad and how she straitened him up and made him go to school. Apparently Chad did not like school at all. Chad says he made school harder than it needed to be. I also liked how the author included where Bessie grew up and how she wanted a better life for her children and that happened according to her family and Chad. Chad is a hero on and off the field and this book really highlights that. It also tells about Chad's journey to get where he is now which a successful star is. Chad is a hero but most importantly he mine and the Greater Cincinnati's too. GO BENGALS!!!!

Chad I can't be stopped, is and incredible book. I give this peice of work 5 stars. The way the author goes into complete depth and detail is amazing. Also the authors tell many stories which are told in Chad's his prospective about how he plays and performs in the football games. Also how he thinks he played in the steelers game in 2005 and his locker room breakdown in his point of veiw. Many of my favorite parts are when Bessie Mae talks about her grandson Chad and how she straitened him up and made him go to school. Apparently Chad did not like school at all. Chad says he made school harder than it needed to be but thanks to Bessie he made it through. Chad says Bessie Mae is the most important women in his life without her he wouldn't have made it. I also liked how the author included where Bessie grew up and how she wanted a better life for her children and that happened according to her family and Chad. I have to say though my favorite part is when he talks about his tuesdays and how when everyone eles is off work he's trying so hard to get better. Chad is a hero on and off the field and this book really highlights that. It also tells about Chad's journey to get where he is now which a successful star is. Chad is a hero but most importantly he mine and the Greater Cincinnati's too. GO BENGALS!!!!

I love this book. As a life long Bengals fan I can read this book over and over. It's well written and provides lots of interesting information on the clubs greatest ever players. This book should be of interest to all Bengal fans, particularly if you are a young fan or have recently began supporting the team and have never heard of great players like Bill Bergy, David Fulcher etc...It is not very expensive and is definately worth 20 dollars

Put it on your Christmas list ...

Chick Ludwig does a very nice job taking you through the history of the Bengals via firsthand looks at the players. He covers the key franchise players, even if they weren't there all that long.
There is a nice summary of where they are, gametime recollections and ample pictures from his Dayton Daily News reporting trove.

Evoked a lot of great memories and filled in some of the holes from the early Bengals era for me. Stofa, Cook, Esiason, Anderson, Munoz, Ickey, Gregg, Wyche and a lot of recent history
rather forgotten. There aren't many books about the Bengals but this one definitely is worth putting on your bookshelf.

Now if Nflfilms would start bringing out some Bengals dvds of the Bengals 80/81/88 seasons. Need something to tide us over until they reach the pinnacle again.

Thanks Chick for a great book!

A thoroughly enjoyable and motivating read. This is a remarkable collection of exclusive interviews with the best American sports coaches of the last 40 years. The author has packed a voluminous amount of wisdom, inspiration and facts into what amounts to a road map to a good life. "How to Succeed in the Game of Life" is a brilliant compilation of advice that offers inspiration at every turn.

Game of Life is an insightful book on the thoughts of many of the world's best known coaches. It provides a biography on each of the 34 coaches (which I recommend reading first to gain a better appreciation of the field and achievements of each coach) and asks them a number of questions that can relate to both on the field and life in general. I have gathered a number of relavant quotes that I will use both personally and professionally. A highly recommended read for sporting buffs and managers.

After buying a copy of this book for both myself and my father I was thoroughly impressed. The book was both an easy read yet very informative. I gave a copy of the book to my father, who is not one to read a book, and he was so taken back by how interesting he felt the content was. He picked up the book in the morning and had it finished by mid afternoon. He must have called me 15 times to tell me how inspiring he felt it was and how he was amazed at "all the tricks it taught an old dog"...He thought he had heard all there was to hear about inspirational quotes. We were both pleasantly surprised with how well written the book was. Both my dad and I would highly recommend this book with two thumbs up.

Having read only excerpts, I was shocked to read that Tony Dungy was hired as head coach by the Indianapolis Colts in 2002 by owner Robert Irsay. Irsay had been dead for five years (longer than that mentally). Hopefully the rest of the book does not contain such shoddy information.

Lots of Good Advice--Inspirational

This book went through various questions about succeeding in life and listed all the responses from each coach. It was interesting but somewhat repetitive in that many said basically the same thing. I enjoyed reading this book because it had a lot of good advice from a lot of successful coaches. The advice I remember most is to work harder than anyone else, never quit, always be honest, do your best, failure is opportunity for a comeback, and be passionate about what you do. All of them agreed that making a lot of money does not mean you are successful, but money can be a by-product of being successful. The last chapter included short summaries about each coach. My favorite chapter was the one of their favorite quotes.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in philosophy, or who is looking for some advice or inspiration about success.

This was a father's day gift for my husband. He loves his Bengal stuff. The cooler bag fits 6 (comfortably) cans or even tall bottles w/ 2 ice packs. For the price- you can't go wrong- it's so worth it. I personally think it could be a little less busy (the design) but my husband thinks it's great.

'Back?' Since when?

Since when are the Bengals 'back?' You mean that sad one-and-done playoff appearance a couple years back? I'm sure the author of this book is embarrassed by his title now, since more recent events have proven that season's (limited) success to be a complete fluke.

As a die hard Bengals fan normally anything with the club name will catch my interest. This book is called Cincinnati Bengals History (images of sport). It should just be called Cincinnati Bengals images because there is very little information in this book. Some of the images from the Bengals early years are good but the more modern images are repetitive and in some cases just not very good. My advice to any Bengal fan who wants to find out more about the club is to buy "The Legends: Cincinnati Bengals : The Men, The Deeds, The Consequences" by Chick Ludwig. Its only slightly more expensive and provides excellent information about the best players ever to play for the club.
