A WONDERFUL INTERACTIVE BOOK WITH A GOOD STORY AND EXCITING ADVENTURE. MY FIVE YEARS OLD SON ENJOYS IT A LOT. IT IS A STORY, A PUZZLE, AND A LEARNING ADVENTURE. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Having done some of the treks mentioned in the book and many more in the mountains of Colorado... anyone who loves backcountry riding, will love this book.

Although the book is illustrated and directed as an educational book for kids. The research and detail on the book gave me different insights to the first official automobile race in the United States. I have been doing research on early automobile races and this book gave me a broader knowledge of that first contest in 1895.

At least part of what is so outstanding about this book is the pictures. Let's face it, it's not a literary masterpiece, but the information is well prepared, and cohesive. I found shots of cars and drivers in this book that I have never seen before. It's a worthy addition to a Racing Library.

I expected more pictures; while there are some they are not stunning as the cover picture might suggest.
Packed with facts.

And there are the "other" runners in their own stables; the 1918 champ, Exterminator, was only entered when stablemate, Sun Briar, failed to develop into a major contender, while Thunder Gulch upset his stablemate, Timber Country, in 1995.

Each story is a wonderful example why each elite equine athlete who enters the starting gate is two-turns away from immortality, no matter what the odds.

As a greyhound adopter and a Mom, I love this book! It is informative, entertaining and heart warming. The artwork is lovely, and the verses are easy to read and understand for toddlers through kids age 8.

This book contains everything you need to know about the Moto GP. It talks about each ciruit, how the GP Bikes should be set up for the circuits and statistics as to who won what race the previous year. The book has bios of all the current racers and some detail about the GP bikes. There is not much details about the bikes because each manufactuer is sercretive about their bikes. The book contains past winners and even tells you about all the teams currently racing. Contains beautiful pictures and beautifully detailed. Any GP fan must have this book. The Moto GP is coming to Laguna Seca in California July 8-10, I can't wait!!!

If you're interested in drag racing a motorcycle and just need to about all the fancy gizmo's and electronics in bike racing today. This is the book for you. It will give you the knowledge necessary to go to the race track and avoid the embarassment of being a "newbie". It covers about every aspect imaginable of bikes without going too involved and forcing you to get a mechanical engineering degree just to understand the book.
