Marta and the Bicycle by Swiss author Germano Zullo is a tale of great imagination. I had no idea that cows loved to watch
trains pass. While the other cows stare in wonder, Marta sees some bicyclists. It is love at first sight. Marta makes her
own bike and soon masters riding. What adventures Marta has on that bike. Albertine's illustrations are wacky, charming,
and sometimes hilarious. This tale is also available in Spanish as Marta Y La Bicicleta/ Marta and the Bicycle. Karen Woodworth

This whimsical story isn't just for kids. It's for anyone who likes bicycles, cows, and/or is named Marta. I bought it for
my adult friend named Marta, and she loves it! It has a surprise at the end that makes it a sure-favorite with balloonists
also. The illustrations are colorful and funny, and Marta herself is a big hero in the cow community. Don't miss this delightful
book!

This is a really well written, and well thought out biography of Matt Kenseth. Every Matt Kenseth fan should enjoy this book.
The only thing I could possibly complain about would be that it ended too soon, hopefully there's a sequel in a few years
telling us about his "Cup Championship"...

The author of this book is Kelley Maruszewski, Matt Kenseth's sister (and also Matt Kenseth Fan Club head honcho). This easy
to read book is packed with pictures and stories of Matt's career from his earliest days in Wisconsin to his most recent Winston
Cup victory in Las Vegas. It's lovingly written from the perspective only a close family member could share. It's a worthy
addition to the library of any Matt Kenseth or Nascar fan!

Monaco Grand Prix: A photographic portrait of the world's most prestigious motor race
I think this is an excellent and well written book. The photographs are fantastic, there is just enough written information pertaing to both the photos and the year of each Grand Prix. I was not disappointed with this book, however; my opinion is biased as Michael Hewett is my cousin. I have his first book and I enjoyed it too.

This is my favorite book by a singledhanded sailor. There's nothing flashy about the author or the story, but by the end
of the book you feel like you really know the author and something of what a singlehanded ocean crossing would be like.
A must read for any sailor

I have never had an interest in racing until I read, "The Moonshine Logs." This is an honest look at one man alone on the
oceans of the world. Francis Stokes is not a superman, he is human and he tells you so. This book made me feel that I was
out there in the races with the author and I loved being there. I have read it several times and intend to read it several
more times. It has found a permanent home on my boat's bookshelf.

Many enthusiasts, and many highly respected MotoGP riders, consider the 240-HP, four-stroke 990s that raced from 2002 to 2006
to have been the pinnacle of performance and spectacle in racing--the most powerful and demanding race machines ever created,
even beyond the 180-HP 500-cc two-strokes that made such extraordinary demands on their pilots.
This book sets out to make the point, and the result is a compendium of terrific photos of the era, year by year, captured by 16 great race photographers from Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Sweden and the UK, professionals whose unique access to the men, machines, pits and tracks gives them the chance to create stunning imagery of the sport. Every reader will find favorites, and there are no bad shots. Nicky Hayden puts his own 2006 world championship into perspective in a thoughtful and insightful introduction.
No aspect of MotoGP is ignored, from the great tracks to the fans, the key men (no women, except for fans and umbrella girls--one of them naked under her wet tee shirt) who drive the sport, the portraits of many of the interesting characters, the agony of crashing and the conflicting emotions of riders who win or lose. Spectators may only see spectacle, but insiders know that top racers put their lives on the line every time they ride, even in practice, and you can see it on the page.
What is particularly striking is that Julian Ryder chose unique points of view and images unlikely to see print in any magazine or newspaper. These unusual views of the sport make the book essential for the enthusiast, a remarkable and memorable record of courage and commitment, daring and danger, the essence of great spectacle unmatched in sport.
Behind the 250-odd images reproduced with stunningly clarity on the page, one aspect of the work deserves consideration by readers: photographers shoot thousands of photos at every MotoGP event, and the ratio between great and `okay, interesting' and `no good' is one in hundreds, often demanding capture in a right-time/right-place thousandth of a second. Ryder has captured the spectacular, violent and fascinating aspects of the sport and its participants.
The book title is ironic. `In camera' is defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as `in secret or private session, not in public,' but what could be more aggressively public that MotoGP? Yes, and we are the beneficiaries, at the track and in this magnificent book. Get it!

This book Motorcycle Racing is a good book. I like it because it tells you the safety stuff you need so you don't get hurt.
It tells you why they peel out before they race. They do that to get their tires hot so they get better traction. It also
tells you everything on a motorcycle.
I am a subject of one of the pictures.

My grandson was reading this book at his school and he noticed that his grampy was in one of the pictures. I have been a
starter and flagman for motorcycles for 14 years. This is the first picture that I know of in a hard back book. The book
is very informative for the age group written for.

I had never before bought a book on tape. So when ME Cooper's son, (former US MX Champion Guy Cooper), suggested that I buy
a few to stock in my store, I was skeptical. However, I brought one of the books with me on an 8 hour drive to a meeting
and before I realized it, I had listened to the entire thing! I didn't even want to pause long enough to fuel-up at a gas
station! Fun and suspenseful, this story truly reflects the life of a professional motocross racer and adds the excitement
of murder to racing! Kudos to Cooper on this one! Definitely recommend, even if you're not into motocross!

Hold on for your life as Chuck Conway goes to Mexico to get his racing career back on track. While amusing himself between
races he runs into his ex-partner and ex-wife. Coincidence? Or is someone about to set him up? Accused of multiple murders,
an Oklahoma law man is the only thing between Chuck and the Monterrey jail. Fast action, a perflexing mystery, and a fiesty
love triangle make Murder in Mexico a riveting tale that will keep your engine running long after you get home.

If you liked "American Motocross Illustrated" then you've got to have this book. The explosive growth of MX/SX/AX and Freestyle
over the past ten+ years have provided Davey Coombs with the perfect platform to launch a book like this. As Racer X grows
and matures with the sport, hopefully there will be a racing annual for MX like there is for NASCAR, F!, ETC.
