An excellent book for the young athlete! Charles lets the readers know that they too can have dreams and reach them. Coming from a small town and single parent household didn't hold him back from becoming an Olympic Champion. He shares his feelings with the readers and give them strategies on how to keep in the fight when times get tough. An easy read; yet a moving story for all levels.

Nice. It has seperated each component of middle distance running (power, speed, speed endurance, endurance ect.)and given ways to work on each. Some good guidlines.

I really enjoy this book, one of the reasons I moved to the Coarsegold area was to enjoy the Sierra backcountry. This book lays out all the legal off road routes and what to expect as you explore them. I also enjoy the historical and geological insights Roger provides as you explore this wonderful treasure. A must have for anyone who visits the Sierra's, a perfect gift for friends who love off-road travel.

I thought the book was great. I think it is written more for the elementary to middle school crowd and I have recommended it to several friends who are teachers. Very insightful into the thought processes of an athlete competing on the highest level of competition. Flashback sequences were very well placed. The book made for a good read.

For those interested in military history, "Hooves, Wheels and Tracks" is excellent reading. From its beginnings as a cavalry regiment in Colonial Australia of the 1800's; we are taken on a detailed yet gripping narrative of the 4th/19th Prince of Wales's Light Horse Regiment's history - to its formation in World War I as the Victorian 4th Light Horse Regiment which fought cavalry actions in Palestine against Germany and Turkey - to its reformation in World War II as an Australian Armoured Regiment fighting as an ally of America in the South-West Pacific and again in the 1960's in the jungles of Vietnam. David Holloway (himself a former officer of the Regiment about which he writes) has produced an accurate and interesting historical record of one of the most elite military units of Australia' Armed Forces.

I loved the book so much I could Read it 2 times a month if I wanted to.It was so good.I would recommend it.
The setting takes place mostly in cars,on race tracks,and at the poice station.It also took place a little in a warehouse
neighborhood.
The events are scary.First Nancy and Bess go to the Riverside and find that Bess's car was stolen!Then they go to the race track where Dirk's car is sabotaged.Last they go to the chopshop and almost get killed.The Sabotaging was probobly my least favorite part.
The problem was that there was a bad cop on the force.That bad cop was a murderer.
The problem was solved when they met at the chop shop and cornered Stan Powderley. THE END!

The author treats a sales job as a normal "job", he help you to create a time-based weekly sales goal, then during the week, you will keep track of the actual sales time. Once you meet your time quota(honestly), you could forget about sales and enjoy your time-off. It helps you to build a honest and persistant work habit in sales, balancing work and family time.

Mr. Calore is my US History II teacher at Acton Boxborough Regional High School. His book is a very good way at looking at diverse workout programs by great high school athletes around the country! This is truly a great and very informative book, by a great teacher.
