Tracks Books

We're very pleased. We have several tracks books and this one is the best small packable one so far. Good clear and complete text descriptions and nice images of the shape of the tracks. An excellent reference for common animals.

The perfect pocket companion for casual animal trackers(serious trackers will find it useful too). Because it is Northern Calif specific, one need not wade through descriptions of animals that live thousands of miles away just to find the print of a critter in your backyard. Excellent drawings are supplemented by a concise and well-written summary of tracking basics in the front.

I live on a dirt road and noticed a lot of other animals live on it, too, which is why I bought this book. So far I have recognized the raccoons, armadillos, and foxes. The book has a little ruler on the back cover so you can measure the tracks you find.

I'm giving the book five stars--it did what I wanted and seems to be well-constructed, as a good nature guide should be (human AND biblio).

Again, the pictures in the book are easy enough to use for my 3 year old. The information contained in the book is useful. We enjoy using this book and look forward to the spring and summer when we can travel further than our backyard.

Another highly useful and highly useable guide from Lone Pine Publishing (in Canada). The guide does not include scat, but includes selected bird and amphibian tracks as well as a bit of humor on pages 116 and 117!

This book is a very easy read with amazing drawings. Best for ages 8-11. This book is all about helping animals and the earth.

Although this book is now out of print, it may be available at used bookstores. It covers the history of a small southern textile town and its people. Highly recommended!

This was the first book on coaching track and field that I ever found. I think it's great.

Coach Brauman gets down to the nitty-gritty and is very technical.

I still use his information, fifteen years after getting the book. Which is, happily, falling apart.
