The wonderfull thing about this tape is that there is no hype or bull. Nor will you find here 20-second solutions that get you nowhere. What you will find is straight talk on what it means to be assertive. It contrasts being assertive to being passive or being agressive and provides information to work yourself to the middle ground of assertiveness. I strongly recommend this one if becoming assertive is important to you.

I bought this book for my husband who is a horse trainer. He really liked it. He doesnt often read books, just magazines and racing newsletters. For him to comment on how much he enjoyed it is high praise indeed.

I feel that the book Athletic Fitness for kids provides a collective amount of information that is beneficial to me personally as a person hoping to create a youth athletic development program. I feel that this book will be a foundation for the movement to helping youth build confidence and skills through athletic development programs.

Drs. Rankin and Ingersoll have taken the art of management and applied it to health care. This book has a target audience of athletic trainers but it is approproiate for any health care facility. The selection and progression of chapters assists the student in learning the complex subject of management. They have done an excellent job of presenting various views in a non-partial manner. Well recommended!

If you want to truly prepare for the athletic trainers certification exam, this is THE book to get. It's complete, easy to follow, and best of all really gives you a sense of what the exam will be like. The authors' advice is second to none. Highly recommended!

It is only reading a small pamphlet left in his production trailer that he realizes his error and begins on the journey back home. For anyone who has suffered resentment or bitterness because of things that have happened to them in the church, I strongly encourage them to read John's story. As his heart was warmed by God's love, may yours be also.

Jim Denison invites us to hear these remarkable runners tell their side of their first four minute mile. He captures their spirit, philosophies and, occasionally, ego, brilliantly.

Some broke four minutes by accident, others to humble an opponent. Some were spiritual about it, others scientific.

Wow. Not at all what I assumed about four minute milers. As I am not a member of that elite group, I learned they're just like regular people. Just, uh, faster. I feel as if I know these men, despite their accomplishments as runners.

I expect my daughters will read it, embrace it, and chase the dream of the sub-four minute mile.

The author develops the text from a historical perspective and walks the reader/athlete through the rules, equipment, training, and insightful competition tips that will benefit athletes of all ages. This book is not a one time read. This is a handbook that you will read over and over and it will be in training bag - not on your shelf. I am sure with the authors expertise in the event this could have been decathlons version of "War And Peace", but the writing is concise, entertaining and not over layden with training jargon. A must for your library.

If you are an experienced or novice coach, this is a must read! This book explains the basic biomechanics of track and field in each event. It explains inertia, air resistance and many other factors that take place in track and field. It is also an easy read and not over the top. You will definitely come away with clarity that you can pass on to your athletes. Out of the 22 track and field books I own, this is one of the best ever.
