Good book for any Silky owner. One of the latest and uptodate books on the subject. Gives info on grooming and all the particulars as well as possible health problems.

Being a sucker for great dog stories is a difficult task. Simon the Pointer moves Jock of the Bushvelt to number two on my list of great dog stories. An elegant 20 minute read that will leave you at best misty eyed and at worst blubbering. Illustrated with wonderful line drawings. I ordered this on a whim and ended up ordering more copies for gifts. Just a great all around dog story.

This book is excellent. Our Skye Terrier is two years old. We adopted him at a year old from the Humane Society. It described our Skye to a T.
I would recommed this book to any Skye owners.

Having had this book for a while now I still find it one to have at hand and to browse through.

It covers most of what is needed to know about having a Skye Terrier and what is involved regarding the care of the dog.

This is not just a book for the show owner but a must for the pet owner who wants to read more about their breed. There are pictures which make it interesting just to glance through but the information gathered is worth reading also.

There is background on where the Skye Terrier may have come from and information on some of the famous people who have had Skye Terriers. Queen Victoria to name but one! Some superb historical pictures are contained in the book also.

There are different sections covering choosing a pup, feeding the same, grooming and a nice section with information on people who have Skyes from around the world.

Easy to read and to look through and informative at the same time.

This book hits on the surface of cat allergies and possibly help for those who love cats but can only do so from afar. It discusses various methods to reduce allergens in the home and also talks about various breeds that may work better for people allergic to cats, including several hairless or very short-haired cats and the Siberian Cat.

I just got a Wheaten Terrier so I bought this book. It really helped me learn more about the wonderful breed, have fun reading it!

VERY INTERESTING BUT CONFUSING SOMETIMES AS NOT SURE IF DEDICATED TO THE BULL TERRIER(HINKS)OR PROPER PIT BULL/STAFFORDSHIRE ETC.

This wonderful little book is part of the Usborne Spotter's Guides series, which are pocket-sized books intended for the (usually young) enthusiast to take along and identify things as they are actually seen. This book is for horse enthusiasts, and helps the reader identify the breed of a horse at a glance! It starts out with such things the history of the horse, colors and markings, points of interest, feeding, grooming and riding.

Then, the book gets to business. The horse and pony breeds are arranged first into categories (ponies, riding horses, harness horses and draught horses), with each breed described and then represented with a beautiful picture. A small, circular checkbox is included, so that the enthusiast can check off a breed as he or she sees it.

My twelve-year-old daughter loves horses, and bought this book with her own money. She loves to read through it, and look at the pictures. We both love this book, and highly recommend it to you.

While researching my dog I went bonkers buying books. This one by far is the best one i purchased /looked at!

Steve Eltinge and company have put together the finest book (or dare I say, bible)of Staffords in exsistance. The photography perfectly illustrates the brilliance of this breed only to be complemented by equally crafty writing. I recommend scratching and clawing to get your hands on a copy. It is priceless!
