This book is full of raw emotion, an honest look at the very real feelings involved with the loss of a loved one. Beautifully written! The authors share their stories in ways that have you smiling (and even laughing at times!) through your tears, and leaves you believing that love and faith can and will see you through even the toughest of situations. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has, is, or will be going through a difficult loss or any kind!

The photos in the calendar are beautiful. Anyone who enjoys cats will love the monthly depictions from kitten to cat and back again.
I definitely reccomend this for a year of delightful viewing.

Generally I don't purchase commercially produced calendars, but I had to make an exception when I decided to get my Maine Coon Cat calendar for 2009. Absolutely beautiful photographs for each months. The months that feature the Maine Coon kittens make you want to reach out and touch them.

This book provides the MG enthusiast with unique insight into the workings of Abingdon in the peak years of MG's popularity. General manager Thornley takes the reader inside the workings and development of the MG through the late 40's into the 50's. A welcome addition to any MG reference collection. William Sydnor

Ms. Nicholas' credentials are incredible and she has been involved with dogs most all her life. She judged her first show in 1934 and has written many books. Her knowledge of the canine species and the Maltese breed is evident in her no-nonsense style of writing. Her approach to the book includes history, care, grooming, showing and more.

This is the first book on Maltese that I have read which includes a detailed background of the major Maltese kennels in the U.S. It was exciting to see a photo of one of the champion ancestors of my new little puppy, Oswald (11 weeks old). Plus, I now know the history of the other champions in Oswald's lineage.

If you are considering showing your dog, this book explains the point system and dog events wonderfully. I could visualize the event as I read her description. Plus, I now clearly understand the mammoth task it is to earn a champion status.

Overall, the book is a good read, well organized, and worth the purchase price. It's one you will reference again and again.

I want to thank Vicki Herrieff for this very imformative book. I have have three Maltese and seek out all I can learn about this breed. Vicki's book has given me the most information about caring for my "little bundles of joy".

Ayer mi hermano menor trajo a la casa una hermosa cochorrita de Shar-Pei (Karina) y como Yo soy el experto en perros de la familia me toca a mi cuidarla. Realmente no se mucho sobre los Shar-pei, por fortuna el criador nos presto este libro.

A primera vista el libro es encantador ya que trae muchas fotografias a color tanto de perros adultos como de cachorros lo que nos da la oportunidad de ver el aspecto del perro en varias etapas de su vida.

El contenido del libro es muy completo. A lo largo de sus 64 paginas nos explica muchos aspectos sobre la raza, entre ellos; su origen, temperamento, apariencia, estandar (como debe ser un Shar-Pei para competencia), problemas de salud, cuidados, etc.

La unica desventaja del libro es que puede ser dificil de encontrar.

Para todo aquel que tenga un Shar-Pei ya sea como mascota o para concurso, este libro es una muy buena alternativa.

His component training approach is logical and easy to follow from beginner, through the TD, to the VST and including the TDX as well as adaptable for those seeking to do SAR work.

This book provides an insight into an ancient & noble breed with many pictures of mastiffs throughout history. A very interesting book for anyone interested in the history of a wonderful breed.

Excellent book! I am a veterinarian and I often get questions regarding specific breeds and the problems they can have. This book is indexed by breed, not disease, which makes it easy to use. In addition, the problems of the breed are easy to see within the text. An excellent resource for veterinarians, breeders, and anyone who is considering purchasing a purebred dog.
