This book is so nice to own because it is small enough to take anywhere. It's comprehensive and a great book to have around.

What an informative, enjoyable read! Eve's expertise in the breed shines through in all aspects of this book, from the acquisition of a promising show puppy, to feeding, breeding, health and coat care. A detailed section on showing explains the UK challenge certificate system, and an excellent comparision between the UK and USA standards offers the reader a broad description of the breed.

Eve's decision to fill the book full of personal insights and experiences offers the reader a very detailed and emotive look into life with an Irish Setter. Her love of the breed is geniune, and comes across clearly at all times, particularly in the small but heart-wrenching section entitled, "At the End of the Day."

The photos are beautiful, and capture the breed from many angles.

There is a detailed section on the training of the Setter in the field, which should be fascinating even to those who have no intention of ever hunting their dogs.

This book has become one of my favourites, and is a must-have for any serious enthusiast of the breed.

We have an Austrailian Shepherd, he is[...] old. I've been buying the Australian Shepherd calendar for 5 years now. We love the many different markings and eye colors that these dogs have. That is why we like this calendar.

I really like basset hounds, so that is why I bought this calendar. The dogs in the calendar are so cute! In the month of February, the basset hounds look like they are kissing! Anybody who likes basset hounds should buy this calendar. This is the cutest calendar that I have ever bought!

How can I be so lucky, there are two bichons sleeping at my feet and one smiling at me (as only a bichon can smile) from the wall calendar.
Willow Creek Press has captured the breed in all its glory. The photos are sharp, close-up and colorful. This is a large calendar with room enough to write in the square for each day. I especially like that they have included the phases of the moon and holidays for the USA and other countries. I can hardly wait for 2009.

What better gift for your college student or friend than the gift of Labrador Retrievers Hanging on the dorm wall waiting for him or her after a long hard day in the study hall! Sure, it may be July as I am writing this, but in a wink and a nod it will be December and you will be scrambling around trying to figure out what to buy for as stocking stuffers or extra little gifts for loved ones and friends.
