I purchased this as a gift for my sister-in-law, who is a native speaker of Spanish. She loves it: the photos are clear and detailed, the text is easy to read, the grammar is good (no awkward phrases due to poor translation), and at 6 pounds the book just feels authoritative. Highly recommended.

Unlike many other books that attempt to provide a roundup of the different cat breeds available to fanciers, this book is intended to provide text and photographic coverage of strictly American Breeds. It portrays (in almost every case in color as well as black and white) every breed recognized by cat associations in the United States and Canada, and it shows strictly U. S. and Canadian animals.

This Book was an amazing resource! I was able to use the book to determine the exact breed of dog that was suitable for my family as well as my lifestyle. The information was key to my decision making process. Thank you for a book well written!

I am anything but a hunter but I love the sporting dog breeds since we have own both an English Pointer and a Chocolate Lab. Book is very informative on all the various sporting dog breeds and characteristics(some of the breeds I have never heard of before). Highly recommended for dog lovers

The British know horses. Americans know cars. This coffee table sized book, written in 1973, by , of course, two British Horsemen,proves this aptly.
Full of illustrations and diagrams, it methodically gives the reader the info on all the horses currently known. It's a lot of book and for a esquine lover a must!

A tremendous guide to owning a cocker, which has certainly helped me and by extension my spaniel Barry. There are fantastic tips on training and health care as well as tons of superb colour photographs. I enjoyed the book immensely and, though I have a sneaking suspicion that Barry is using the book as porn, I wholeheartedly recommend it.

This wonderful book is the updated version of the one we bought when we 1st bought our Springer 7 years ago. It has very excellent photos, covers all the essentials, and is a joy to read. It covers the many available products for their health and enjoyment, too! When you need the basics, and more, this is the book for you!

English Springer Spaniel (Breeder's Best) (Breeder's Best) This is a very well written and informative book on the English Springe Spaniel. The book is easy to understand and gives great information on buying, caring for, and training your dog. I would highly recommend this book.
