Breeds Books

We are Japanese journalists,and the owners of two pugs. This book made us very happy. It is because our favorite pugs is very much filled with the beautiful photograph.And,it is explained in detail, the history about pug as well is very helpful. A sentence is easy and polite, too. It is the book which recommends the thing of pug to the person who likes it in the same way as For The Love of Pugs.

This is a great book for someone who has or is going to have a companion (as opposed to show dogs). Tells you everything you need to know in an incredibly readable style, tons of color and black and white pictures of shelties, and full of useful information. There's an interesting section comparing the British and US standards for the breed (the author is British). If someone is looking for more information on Shelties this is the book to get. The only unreadable section is the part covering important North American bloodlines, which is written by someone else, and immediately bogs down in breeder-speak. The best sheltie book I've read so far.

Fabulous book for anyone interested in the breed, written by a woman who was a true expert. Contains great info on breeding, and many photos of her litters, and also of her Westminster Breed winners. Gives the whole background of the Silky in the US.

I thoroughly enjoyed this well written history on the whippets both in England and later the U.S. and Canada. the author himself was one of the forerunners of the breed but he does a successful job of not promoting himself or presenting a biased opinion of breeders who competed along side of him. For anyone wanting to learn more about the breed in general or about the founding of the "old" American lines, I do recommend that they purchase "The Complete Whippet".

If you get nervous in competition, this is the book for you! Diane goes step by step on how to combat the dreaded Ring Nerves. In this book, you'll learn how important breathing is, how to create a safe space and distance yourself from your fears, how to be in-tuned with your dog, improve your self-esteem, focus on your goals and how to stretch. This is a wonderful book -- I highly recommend it.

Kids seeking pets out of the ordinary will welcome this focus on cats, considering Bengals, Manx, and other unusual breeds and the traits which make them possible pet candidates. Discussions of origins and histories lead to internet sources and surveys of pros and cons of each breed, setting Curious Cats quite apart from the more general cat pet books.

As a recent owner of Dachshunds (a male and two females)with the intent to breed each female at least once, this was one of the most informant books I have read. There are lots of good books available, but I found this to have most of the information under one cover.

A great book for anyone, young or old. Full of information and fun facts of dachshunds. :)

I would like to find some information regarding cow breeding. refrence of cows' kind and their decease. new technique for breeding and researchs.
