Paint Books

A good instructional book for carving your own Carousel Horse. This is one of two book that I would recommend. The other is Carousel Animal Carving by Bud Ellis(who also runs a carving school in TN).

This is a good, basic how to book for the beginner to the intermediate artist who would like to get a good working knowledge of animal, especially horse art. I would recommend this book and the seller it got it to me quite quickly! I was very pleased with the purchase.

when i receove the book found that i had a larger verison only without paint other wise this book is okay if i had known more i wouldn't have brought ot.

This book gives you inspiration to use anything that looks like glass around the home, Ferrero Rocher plastic box, glass box, bottles, acetate, and makes you want to do your windows and mirrors.....! The artist teaches you with available tools around your home and it is relieving to know that you don't have to have this and that tool before embarking on a simple project that may take you just a day to finish. Patterns are given and you are taught how to make your own too, definitely a fail-proof manual and reference book that you would find hard to keep on the shelf...!

I have been painting & teaching watercolor for 15 years. This is the first helpful book that I have found on painting seascapes in watercolor. I accidentally ran across it in the library of a retirement community where I teach & immediately borrowed it. It contains basic sketches & information about the "character" & construction of waves, surf, foam, & trails which the ordinary painter is not aware of. Reading this book is an "education"; it contains sketches & how-to instructions which any painter can follow to practice painting seascapes in watercolor -- one of the most challenging subjects in this media. As soon as I located this book on Amazon.com, I ordered it.

This is a very good book for beginners who "want snow scenes to paint". The artist provides useful basics, straightforward examples, and appealing landscape scenes of prairies, mountains, rivers and forests. This original version has superior colour reproduction over later, revised, versions of the book (available under different title). Recommended, and as a basic book for beginners it rates 4*.

Kids really enjoy this book because they enjoy finger painting a lot. It's a chance to let them be messy and have fun and create pretty paintings. The ideas are easy yet good and entertaining.

Not a bad book for starting out on industrial painting. Would be good for a paintiner or business who is getting into painting for the first time.

This book is helpful. He lists the colors used, but leaves out a lot of steps. The way he does the "final steps" would have helped me.
