Paint Books

This was such an easy read yet extremely informative. Definately a no nonsense guide to purchasing real eastate. It's written so any person can understand the how to's and what not's associated with investing in property. I would highly recommend it as a must read to anyone thinking of getting involved in real estate on any level.

I have been a Gerhard Richter book collector for years now and own all the major Gerhard Richter publications. In my estimation, this is the most beautiful Gerhard Richter art book ever created. I am not saying it is the most substantive, or the most comprehensive, but it is, in my estimation, a work of art itself. If you are lucky enough to find a copy of this book - purchase it immediately!!

Giles's Laboratory Course in Dyeing, published by the Society of Dyers and Colourists in the UK, is full of useful information on all types of dyes, for all types of fibers.

Surprisingly, the publisher's list for this book, in England, is at times much lower than the cost of a used copy in North America; the difference is often far more than the cost of overseas shipping.

On first flick I thought Yeah Great! the stuff in this book really nice and I'd love to have most of it somewhere in my house...where can I buy them!! On second read I soon started to relise that producing great finishes on furniture, lamp shades, curtains, floors and walls is not as hard as it looks and even someone like ME can achieve it. This book is fantastically laid out with big colourful, basic pictures which take you through the procedures step by step from start to finished product. It's an excellent book if you want some great, and visually stunning effects around the house without needing a degree in interior or graphic design. There are even templates in the back if you want to use the patterns straight from the book. There are also many different colour samples if you're not to sure of what colours go well together. It's also great for making gifts too! If you like to dabble in a little bit of art and craft then this book should definately make it to your bookshelf.

My children absolutely love this book about an eccentric grandma who paints her shed in a unique way. great rhyming, the illustrations are wonderful - highly recommended for children 3-8 or so.

This is a wonderful book for learning to paint china using new paints that don't require kiln firing. The projects are both beautiful & simple to make. I also found the full-color photos to be very inspirational.

About half the book is dedicated to helping you learn design & decorating basics, including using china in every room of your home. Different styles such as Classical, Victorian, Mediterranean & English are described.

Fifteen projects with step-by-step explanations and photos follow. My favorites were an oriental bowl, spice jars & a country quilt vase. There is also great basic information on materials & techniques.

I was surprised how easy, but impressive the verdigris & marbling finishes were to recreate. The supply list is also a nice bonus. I highly recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn more about ceramic painting.

This is one of the very best books on watercolor painting.
A lot of good illustrations. This style is what judges look for.
A classic.
