Got the book quickly, excellent condition, great book.

Augustus Dunbier was a prolific, Nebraska-born oil painter known for colorful landscapes, still life, portraits, and figures. He painted throughout the Southwest where, from 1920, he established a seasonal pattern of working in Taos, New Mexico and enjoyed the art colony life with such artist friends as Walter Ufer and Eanger Course. Dunbier painted the mountains of Montana and Colorado, the coasts and harbors of Massachusetts, Maine, Oregon, and Alaska, the deserts of New Mexico and Arizona. But the greater part of his impressionist landscapes were painted in Nebraska with its hills and trees, lakes and rivers, farm scenes and cityscapes. Very highly recommended for students of American art history, Augustus W. Dunbier: Paint For The Love Of Color showcases Dunbier's work with more than one hundred color plats and 15 b/w photographs, and offers the a biographical text of his life and work.

That the so-called "adults" who want to gouge prices on things like this because they are "collectible" need to get a life. And don't give me any of that "it's worth what you can sell it for" garbage. It's a shame that parents like me can't buy a children's coloring book for their kids because 45 year olds are hoarding them (along with their "mint-in-box" virginity). Grow up.

my daughter loves to paint with water

I remember paint with water books from when I was little, so I'm always so excited to get them for my kids. They are great for vacation/business travel with the family. In hotel rooms they can use a q-tip and water and everything is easy to clean up. I think these are great for just about anytime!

The glitter paint is great. The illustrations are lovely. There is enough detail to be interesting, not too much detail to make it cluttered.

I found this book to be charming and use it to study flowers and butterflies more for my drawing and needlework than anything else. I have made copies of the pages and see how different colouring schemes would work and have a great deal of fun of giving different pages even to the children to see how well they can reproduce the colours from nature. It is a lot of fun for such a small price tag and well done. I highly recommend it.

Jamie Wyeth truly captures the spirit of Nureyev! The essays by Barnes, Phyllis Wyeth/Larsen (with intimate photographs by Susan Gray) and Lauren Raye Smith are enlightening, informative and truly moving.

Mastandrea's sharp eye for color is matched by her ability to articulate in step-by-step format the techniques for beautiful ceramic pieces. Techniques include how to do sponge painting, plaids, stamp painting, which brushes to use for which effects--enough information for someone who's never painted ceramics before but not so much that an experienced painter might find condescending. The projects included in the book are cheery, bright, and motivational. I highly recommend this book for any painter who has recently discovered paint-your-own ceramics studios but doesn't know where or how to start.
