Paint Books

This sweet and simple little book is great for reading with young children, and using as a sprinboard for exercising imaginations, young and old. This one ranks right next to "Goodnight Moon" for a great calming, snuggling bedtime book.

My kids love this book. We read it at bedtime and they enjoy finding the hidden pictures in the illustrations. My oldest is just learning to read and this is a great book for him as the words are big and easy to make out. My youngest just likes finding the pictures!

This is a great book for teachers who are using or thinking about using centers. It is divided by center (art, blocks, music, etc.) and each section explains what skills will be learned in that particular center, how to set the centers up and what materials are needed. Each exciting activity is labeled with the approximate age of children who should use the center along with the skills the child will build. Many of the materials needed are objects generally found in the classroom, but are used in ways you probably haven't thought of. This is a fantastic book for preschool teachers!

Well, Its safe to say that my mom has done it again. This is my favorite of all her books so far. Its a real winner.

This book is a must have for anyone interested in ancient Tibetan art and culture. It penetrates deep in to the tradition and lore involved in the creation of Thangkas.
It's even great on a technical level, giving us grids and proportion when painting Buddhas. The authors even explains how to create the pigments with authentic materials; as well as telling us where in the world to find them.

Indispensible resource.

This book assumes an interest in Thangka paintings. The book then proceeds to elaborate, step by step and in great detail, the process of creating one of these art works from the grinding of the color pigments to the finishing details with a brocade frame. If you are interested in this art form you couldn't ask for a better guide. Well written and thoroughly complete, it also includes drawings of any and every detail found in these paintings. If you are interested in creating a Thangka painting of your own this is the book for you.

This is a wonderful value and a great starter book. The book covers material selection and application techniques in the beginning. A large variety of ideas are shown, with easy-to-follow directions for achieving each look. Having the paint included makes it even easier to work right from the book.

From the beginner to the advanced face painter, this book has an excellent variety of face designs. It's very well laid out and the graphics and pictures are very clear and well done. This is must have sample book!!!

Watercolor Painting for Dummies is a great book for both beginners and artist who just need to brush (no pun intended) up on the fundamentals of w/c painting. If you're looking for a book to give you all the information you need because you are just beginning, this is it. This book is chock full of everything you need to know and everything they teach in art class.
Another good thing about this book is you don't have to start from the first chapter and read from there (unless you are a beginner).
And there are several projects you can paint "along" with.
This is a good book to have and refer back to again and again.

A great read. It's got a bit of everything for PBNers. Not exactly a collectors book, but a fun, well writen account. Probably the only book written on PBNs. And from the (Craft) master himself!

This is a must-have book for anyone interested in paint by numbers. Everything you wanted to know about the creation and development of PBNs is here along with what happened to the "creator" of PBNs. This is the ultimate insider's guide to a fun and addicting art form.

This book was chosen by a six year old boy for our 12 month old son. Our little guy loves this book to the point that my husband, my father and I all got tired of reading and rereading it to him. The pages came undone from the constant use, so we had to tape them back into the book.

This book is a hit with our 22 month old daughter. She loves the simplicity of the story and can now, after having it read to her many times, repeat the words, or I should say word, on each page. We are purchasing more of this series.
