Myself and other probably liked this book Because it contains information for even the smallest things like a Shaak,Eopie,Peko Peko,or a Fambaa. With the places like the Theed Royal Palace on Naboo to Watto's Kunk Shop on Tatooine. And who can forget the two lovable Protocol and beeping Astromech Droids R2-D2 and C-3PO droid types are in here even though its a finishied one but it's still as lovable. All in all I give it a five star rating!

This book tells the fascinating story of Peter Pan, Tinker Bell and the Darling children and their adventures in Never-Never-Never Land. They fight with pirates and enjoy their freedom. Some of the original illustrations by Alice B. Woodward are included here as well as modern plates. A nice book especially for young readers

I bought this book as a resource for storytelling in the classroom. The puppet scripts and suggestions are very helpful. When using puppets, you do not have to use a puppet voice or be a pro-puppeteer. Any early childhood education teacher could benefit from this book.

Alain Badiou looks at the history,or trajectories of concept is a better term of the aesthetic as those places,those works where we can say represent an "event", a work that in many ways summed up a language, the beginning of an end; and holds within its four pages some creative possibility for continuation for development,for years,not as now a speeded in Virilio-ian droma; the work, the elegant canons and mirror repetitions of Webern certainly held that for the post-war generation of composers, and on this side of the Atlantic, the works of John Cage, threw a large influential net to catch many emerging genres,and cadre of performance artists, new instruments,graphic notation and live electronics.Carter's "First String Quartet" was equally one such work, an "event", call it American neo-expressionism/or romanticism, it sounds quite odious today to utilize such jargon, Carter had left his rather facile music of the previous 20 years for a stint into the language and challenges of dodecaphonic handlings, along his own quite original trajectories, although every movement shall we say is merely different "readings" of the same differing sets of ground rules,shapes,images, and emotive content, be it Cubism, serialism, minimalism,or expressionism, now all quite useless terms ready for the scraps of history/ / / if you situate this "First Quartet" you can see where things, materials, approaches presented themselves in fairly formative dimensions,the language of the new, must be learned,by the artist;but the outwardness of this quartet was quite exciting for its time,the submission of characters and roles for each part, the cello for the most part more pronounced,lumbering along arrogant at times,to the more threadbare viola, less arduous less spontaneous so,imprisoned at times in predictable triple shapes, 3 rhythms for the most part, the first violin then sustaining pencil thin tones,and harboring its own "character" / / / the second violin interrupting all that exists with contrary rhythms,also subservient as traditional speaks to it. There are also "enclosures" of intervallic content, one sequestered limited to one particular part, only the cello is allowed expansion, this is something developed vigorously some 20 years later in the "Third String Quartet". Two duets contrast each other;the buzz of the term "metric modulation" is also here is budding forms/ / / of interjecting slowly the change of a common pulse,then accelerated but within a definable proportion. You may recall the first time you had heard this quartet, and it truly sounded like music from another place, a music of exile,not a music that belonged anywhere,until now,50 years it does take these works to become partially understood, as Adorno said Beethoven we think is better understood than Webern, but that is not true,it never was true/ / /Carter's quartets now grace untold genres, now a safe music, fully acceptable into the neo-liberal order.

When I got this book I thought; may be is just another book full of pictures. On the contrary the book starts on with a brief puppetry history and then gives an overview of the different types of puppetry. It gives an in depth summary of the puppet theatre since the 1960's and the overhaul that Jim Henson gave to the art of puppetry. It talks about puppetry as a new art an avant-garde entertaiment that has been around for centuries. A great book with a brilliant compilation of ideas and photographs.

Full of information and beautiful pictures. Execellent reference book for beginner. Come to think about it, what else do you need to learn the art of bonsai?

This is the first symphony to make me cry. The symphony itself has a very fluid quality that swells with emotion and just when you think you've peaked, it seems to be able to take you a step higher.

It's final movement is amazing how it slowly and almost unnoticeably builds to the climax at the end. It starts out with a moving bass line played pizzacato on the string bass that brings up the imagery of someone tip toeing through a haunted house. Then it lightens the mood with with a sense of confidence and reassurance. This movement has all the emotion of someone trying to save the world from famine and disease and miraculously succeeding. After it's final and highest plateau, Sibelius allows the listener to dwell in tears of joy before he finally concludes the piece.

This symphony also features very regal sounding brass sections. The percussion is minimal but the timpani plays a vital role in giving this symphony it's power. There is also a lot of dialogue between the violins and flutes.

A very moving and powerful piece to say the least.

If your going to listen to a CD I recommend the Cleveland Orchestra's recording conducted by Joel Levi. The Leonard Berstein conducted recording is a little slow for my tastes and doesn't have as good intonation as Joel Levi's. If I remember correctly, Berstein was conducting the London Symphony.
