A great learning tool for Punch Needle workReview Date: 2007-10-24
The first 14 pages explains what punch needle is, gives a bit of its history and then talks about Album quilts such as the Baltimore. Page 16-25 tells you how to do punch needle and has those large graphics for which I was looking. Pages 26 - 31 contain the instructions for making the quilt.
Pages 32 - 91 have all the patterns - a color photo of what the punch needle design will look like, instructions for creating that pattern and the template to use. A Materials list and a color key with DMC/Anchor changes is also found here.
The final five pages are about all the authors of this well put together book and a one page glossary of terms, something that is always good when you are beginning a craft. Not a bad idea for reviewing a craft that you haven't done in a long time either!
Once you have completed the Baltimore Album Quilt, use the patterns over again to make wall hangings, to decorate a pillow, jacket or chair back. Use the templates for Red Work patterns or if you are a painter, use them for your paint projects. If you put your thinking cap on, you will find lots of uses for these patterns.

You need a Gnome in your home!Review Date: 2001-10-17
The book has instructions and patterns for a variety of gnomes in several different sizes and styles. Most are made of felt with the addition of nuts, beads, pipecleaners and other easily found craft supplies.
Many of the projects could be completed by a 6-7 year old with some help from an adult or teen. Younger kids could help by finding feathers, nuts, seeds, etc to be used to trim the gnomes somebody else makes.
This book will enable Children to produce really nice projects to use for decorations or gifts. Turn off the TV and the computer and spend an evening making gnomes. You will find that it is truely magic!

'We Few, We Happy Few, We band of Brothers...Review Date: 2004-02-25
The models of Courtenay, Ping, Selwyn-Smith, Desfontaines, and other manufacturers and enthusiasts made a visual treat, and the accompanying text is excellent. While I was somewhat disappointed that Britains excellent Swoppet plastic knights were not included, that is a minor distraction and does not take away from either the presentation or the impact of this volume.
My favorite presentation was of the work of Selwyn-Smith which eventually became the Knights of Agincourt in the Britains range in the 1950s, which I also collect, as well as a very small range of models which are a conversion of Selwyn-Smith's models and Courtney parts, such as helmets, heads, and stands. The heraldry and painting of both of these small ranges as models and not toys is outstanding and are an inspiration to improve one's own collection, or to start a collection of knights and men-at-arms as soon as possible.
It should be noted that Britains has started to produce a new range of Knights of Agincourt, which are excellent and well worth getting and fit in very well with both the old range and the material in this book.
This volume is enthusiastically recommended.

Great introduction to the products of Privateer PressReview Date: 2008-01-14
Awesome Wargaming BookReview Date: 2007-12-03
Privateer has become successful, many people say, because of their awesome rules. They create an exciting atmosphere for these battles and create so much flexibility. If you play Warmachine, you already know the majority of the rules. You have to learn about the fury mechanic to really get the full grasp, but that's about it.
I've heard of people who don't even wargame buying this book and loving it. It just has so much cool stuff in it, I guess you just have to flip though it to find out.

Wonderful!Review Date: 2006-10-14
I giggled away as I turned the pages and saw the illustrations of these adorable guys playing hide and seek, sitting at the table having their dinner, and working-out. How cute is that? The illustrations in this book are definitely top of the line. Vivid in color and brimming with imagination that just screams out at you from the pages; and the storyline flows along with ease as the two team up to bring you an out of the box reading experience. I very highly recommend you purchase this book for the child you love and for the child in you. Exceptional!

Great gift for decor of worshipingReview Date: 2004-04-02
But this kit is great for decor and worship alike. Comes with a real buddah statue, incesne, a candle, book and more. use the box as an altar. this is perfect for a desk or car, or a nice piece of decoration.
The buddah kit is great for travel. take it with you on trips. if you need to practice, but don't have time to go to a worship temple, use this. IF you buy this and you worship, you can worship at home without spending millions of dollars on a fourty -foot buddah statue(unless you really want to!).
The statue is very realistic. with all the candle and incese, you got an authentic buddah statue. for $8 dollars, it can't be beat. I recomend this to any Buddhist( unless you have a giant one in your house!)
Get it if you worship buddha. You'll be glad you did.
Worship this kit!Review Date: 2003-06-22
This Buddha kit is perfect for my 8" tall, stuffed puppy. Puppychu has placed this mini-altar inside his 15" doghouse, and he prays daily, just like his dad, who has a much bigger altar in his own house. Puppychu has also bought nearly all the other Mini-kits from Running Press, and considers himself an expert on their products.

We all know who Garfield is but some of us haven't really read him, yet. I used to not read him but when I discovered this gorgeous book, I couldn't get enough of him. Him, his owner, Jon, the idiot dog, Odie, all get into some very funny situations. I, like all have the other books, have read this one countless times. I love it. Garfield cracking some of his best jokes in his longer, more colorful, and more energetic Sunday strips. I'd recommend you buy this book now! It's a no regrets one, unless you regret laughing to hard.
