Author of "Stories for a Stormy Night, Vol. 1."

I just finished reading "The Piano Player" written by Guy Verreault.
It is a delightful tale of mystery and adventure as we follow Jacob Shreiber, a private eye, solve case after case. His current one has him looking into the sudden killing of a piano player named Carl Murdoch. The death appears highly suspicious, and as Jacob starts probing around, his search draws him deep into unsavory circumstances. He must deal with a religious group referring to themselves as "the sons of God" and eventually finds himself prying into the shady world of the Mafia itself, headed by Vito Profacini.
In the course of his investigation, Jacob must confront thugs and a host of other obstacles, the more serious of these being the several attempts that are made on his life.
Jacob is fortunate enough to have close ties with Lieutenant Jones of the LAPD and Don Ryle of the FBI. This makes him privy to critical information, which would have otherwise been inaccessible to him. Using the clues he gathers, Jacob is a methodical worker and stays on a case even when everyone else is ready to give up.
Mr. Verreault keeps the action moving at a dizzying pace. He spikes the story with a slew of cases that grab the reader's attention. It keeps one guessing as to what will come next and compels one to read on.
The ending turns out totally different to what the reader would have expected and catches one fully by surprise.
"The Piano Player" is truly a great read.

This audio guide exceeds a high standard of excellence. The ability to communicate makes (this audio guide) the best in the field. It was clear, well organized, and the music enhanced the experience. The map provided us with clear directions to the most important aritfacts in the room. This audio guide was without a doubt the best!

Mark's Square in the time we had available. We will be looking for WhiteHot Productions audio guides every where we go in the future. Kudos to the narrator for making this so enjoyable.

Like all of Antonia Forest's books this, which is one of my favourites, transcends the "children's book" genre, and is an excellent novel in its own right. The story of one of the ancestors of the "Marlow" family of Forest's other books teaches the reader about the context of Shakespeare's plays and paints a picture of Elizabethan England without ever becoming "educational" or over-worthy.Antonia Forest is not well known enough, or highly rated enough.Shame! Her great strength is her ability to portray characters in early adolescence dealing with complex feelings that they are old enough to experience but not skilled enough to articulate. Can we start a Forest Revival Movement?

The Player's Boy is one of the best young adult historical fiction books I have read, and it is shamefully neglected.

The character of Nicholas is subtly drawn and his responses are intelligible to a late 20th century audience, while not becoming anachronistic. The danger of over-idealising Shakespeare is narrowly avoided, but giving him a sardonic younger brother is a touch of genius.

Why is this author so little known and so consistently out of print?

The World of Greyhawk, one of TSR's first and most popular AD&D game settings, is revisited in the Player's Guide to Greyhawk, an accessory that will be appreciated by old fans of Greyhawk who wish to return to this exciting milieu and by newer gamers who have yet to experience it.

This accessory includes an introduction to the world of Oerth; an overview of the Flanaess (the continent central to Greyhawk adventures), a section of gods and other political and supernatural powers; information on the city of Greyhawk itself; notes on the various races of the game world; special information on roleplaying in the Flanaess; "Adventuring Attractions in the Central Flanaess" (i.e., the vicinity of Greyhawk City); and several player character kits, three of them for orders of knighthood.

Graphic elements include a double-sided, 11" x 17" cardstock insert that features a full color map of the Flanaess on one side and the domain of the city of Greyhawk on the other. The maps are colorful and attractive, and whereas the Flanaess map is not nearly as impressive as the two posters that used to depict it, it is more wieldy; the Greyhawk domain map is well detailed and will prove a useful tool to anyone running an adventure in the region. Other color graphics include depictions of the symbols of major Greyhawk gods and powers (e.g., the hand and eye of Vecna, and the arrows and iron gauntlet of Hextor).

The Player's Guide to Greyhawk is well organized, fun to look through, and comprehensive enough to be of real value to players and DMs involved in Greyhawk adventures.

The "Player's Guide to Greyhawk" is a well written, concise book about the history, peoples, politics, and other topics regarding the World of Greyhawk, and more specifically, the City of Greyhawk. I wish that it had more material on other places in the WoG, but overall it is a superb book that will give any player insight to the races and history that makes Greyhawk so special compared to other bland forgotten realms.

The PG (Player's Guide) series is a well-crafted, "user-friendly" set of guidebooks that introduces new players to the worlds of TSR. The approach is refreshingly light and engaging (gamespeak and rhetoric are kept to an absolute minimum), and as primary overviews of classic campaign worlds, these colorful sourcebooks are ideal! This one details the world of Krynn - chapters include lore on the geography of Ansalon, the cultures (including gully dwarves and kender), the gods, the histories of the Cataclysm, the mysterious Lost Peoples, monsters, and much more!

This is a book I'd reccemend to all players on Krynn before the Age of Mortals. Consider this a book that takes the World Book of Anaslon from the Tales of the Lance box set and takes out the parts the player characters should not know, and you have the synopsis of this book. Although parts of the book may be found lacking to the players, this allows the DM expansion onto ideas that were not presented in the novels and expansions; merely hinted at.

Remember when sex was fun and new? Get ready to feel that way again, because Tommy Orlando is going to give you the details on something that will change the way you have sex.

Loved the first two books in the series and love this one even more. Tommy breaks down the most complicated stuff into a system that is easy to understand. The whole book can be read in under an hour, which I appreciated, because I'm a busy guy!!

I think this book would be great for men OR women. It is very empowering. I realize that female ejaculation isn't exactly brand new, but how many people know about it? And how many people can actually do it or make it happen?

Tommy shows you how anybody can do it and breaks it down in a step-by-step way. He gives you the background on female ejaculation and explains how science backs it up. This is important, because many people think it doesn't exist. You have to know it DOES exist if you want to make it happen, right?

Well, I can know tell you first hand that it does exist. It's very exciting, too!!

This book is worth 10x the price. 100x the price!!

THANK YOU, Tommy Orlando!!

I've bought a few books on this subject and have been close to making female ejaculation happen, but this is the book that put it all together for me. There is something about the way this guy writes which just clicked with me. Or maybe it's that I've been reading a lot about seduction and dating lately and was finally ready for the information.

Either way, at under $[...], you can't go wrong here. I appreciated that the book was short and to the point. There is no filler here. No theory. He gives you what has worked for him and others (including me, now!!).

I am confident that ANYBODY CAN DO THIS! It may take a bit of trying, but IT WILL BE WORTH IT. I was doing backflips when it finally happened and my girl thinks I am a superhero.

So try it. If you need help, post a comment here and I'll do my best to get you the advice you need.

Good luck everybody!!!

Why Not Benefit Your Life?

This book can improve your life in a thousand ways. Jim Shead and Wally Armstrong take the bible and apply it to the game of golf and to life in manner that is unobtrusive and realistic. For Christians and non-Christians alike, this book competently teaches the reader the benefits of living in God’s Word.
Shead and Armstrong have divided this book into chapters, with each chapter relating a message of Christianity to a specific aspect of golf, which is then related to a specific aspect of life. Some examples of the chapters are; balance, timing, perseverance, and power sources. The chapters work in a progressive order, the following one expanding or adding to the preceding chapter.
Perhaps the most effective aspect of this book is the way the reader is kept from becoming lost as they learn about Christianity. The progressiveness of the chapters allows the readers to grasp or understand a concept before they are introduced to more. As well, Christianity can be confusing, and Shead and Armstrong reduce the confusion with the quality of examples they use. Each and every example is realistic and most likely been experienced by the reader. In other Christianity books, examples may seem to come from fairy tales, where only a few have ever heard or have themselves experienced the examples being used. For example, most golfers have found themselves at one time or another facing a shot out of a sand trap. This example is something that most people can identify with. “In His Grip” explains how life can also put you in a bunker, and uses God’s Word to explain how to get out or prevent you from going in.
The bible passages that accompany every page also provide a means for the reader to expand upon what they have just read and learned. What makes this unique is the availability of secondary sources that go into greater detail and may provide further insights. If the reader was sufficiently impressed with “In His Grip” and wanted to know more about living with God, they would only have to look in a bible (which is not difficult to attain).
Shead and Armstrong also did a good job of keeping it light enough so the reader does not get discouraged. This book was written in a manner that provided the reader with both encouragement and hope. The wholehearted encouragement leaps of the page, creating the impression that the authors’ goals are to help you instead of writing to make a buck. The only drawback is the length. A book that makes you feel this good should be longer.
So before you spend money on a book, stop and think what you’re getting out of it. Entertainment from a book is one thing, lifelong self-fulfillment is another. “In His Grip” is an incredibly solid read. Anyone (golfer or non) looking to find themselves and sincere happiness could learn a lesson or two from this book.

Man was born on many planets. The highest order of Man lives on the doorstep to Heaven. On a planet called Juniper, only a few hundred years have passed since they entered intergalactic society. The Junipeans traverse the heavens in Lightstars, gargantuan fire-spewing spacecraft that leave a signature nuclear wake. When a mysterious series of events occurs on a nearby plant that may hold the key to a superior method of travel, they risk expulsion from intergalactic society, and send someone to find out what has happened. That planet is Earth. The year is 2024. From first page to last, The Players is science fiction at it's speculative, futuristic, galactic best.

Science fiction should transport the reader into a world that is wondrous and slightly familiar. Joseph Fullam's The Players does that, but with a twist.

(The main character) encounters all kinds of bizarre beings and problems, giving The Players a disturbing, surreal atmosphere. Fullam makes Earth seem more alien than the alien planets that are the typical science fiction fodder. He does this so well that it leaves the reader in a wide-eyed state of discomfort and awe. It is almost as if Dali wrote the last half of this novel through Fullam's hand, and it couldn't be any better.

The Players is a delightful treat in a genre that is often burdened with pretentious writers who lack storytelling skills. Fullam, on the other hand, gives his novel an oddly spiritual tone that begs for attention.

I played ball for the Bard basketball team this past season, and upon hearing of my decision to sign up, my dad gave me this book to read. Charlie Rosen and Disco sought out a school like Bard to coach basketball at its purist, with no pretense of talent, no real shot at success, at a school that provided no institutional support whatsoever for athletics (just imagining playing ball in the building the school used as a gym when the book was written sends chills down my spine). The complexion of the Bard team has changed a bit, as the school recently built a multi-million dollar facility and began an ernest attempt to recruit athletes, but there were still a couple of throwbacks to the kind of players you would have seen on the "Players and Pretenders" squad. Experiencing small-school college hoops vicariously through Players and Pretenders gives the reader a glimpse of a world where sports at advanced levels can still be played with the reckless abandon and brevity of a 3rd grade basketball team. I'd have played for coaches Rosen and Disco Dodds' "ship of fools" any day.

This is the true story of charlie rosen and myself (disco) (not my real name) coaching the Bard College basketball team. It is an amusing tale of a group of strangers that come together and touch each other's lives for a year, and then go their own way. Of the other central "characters" in the book, I have recently been in touch with Lance Lavender, full of life then and now, and Matt out in California, who calls to check in evry few years. I would certainly be interested in how our other team members are doing. Back to the book, other than being an amusing read, this tells the story of what its like to play on a small college team where you play because you love to play, knowing you are just an average player, and this is your one chance to be on a team. And the growth of this group of young men and two coaches, who learn what it takes to stick together. Highly recommended! And you get to read about me, disco!!!!
