I am not a Self-help book person in general, but I found this so appealing because of the colourful pages and great layout. The case studies really helped me to relate to each suggestion, of which were all practical and down to earth. I used the spaces in the book to get started on coaching and thinking for myself. The author also has a web page where you can contact him to give advice. He has been very helpful and surprinsgly approachable. Great read - Great motivator and educator! Jane.

As a whole i thought this book was very good. Im not a big reader but i enjoy reading on sports history, and who better than the most famous coach in the NFL. It does a very good good on keeping you entertained. In the start of the book it kind of talks about his life when he was in highschool. It shows that he was very intrested in sports at a young age. His highschool was on the the best highschools around in football. Then it tells some great stories about when he was in college and then of course, tells about some of his best NFL games when he coached for the Packers. I really thought this was well written and it really kept me intrested through out the entire book. Then also another nest thing is in the back of the book it shows a bunch or stats that are just cool to look at. If you are a sports fan of any type, or just intresed in Vince Lombardi, then i really recommend this book.

This book is full of photos and highlighted spots to make learning the information quick and easy. The chapters are set up so that you can read that one without knowing the information for the chapter before, so if you wanted to read about food control without reading the background information on "what wellness is" you can. I needed the book for a class and will keep it around for years (I need to put the information in play when i find some free time). THe information is also up to date. I hope this helped.

Who's really driving your bus has changed my life. I am a part of a support group who meets once a week to remind ourselves that we can take responsibility to change our attitudes in recovery whether it be addictions, co-dependency or whatever else we are struggling with. The name of the support group that comes out of this book is C.A.I.R. which means Changing attitudes in Recovery. I highly recommend this book to everyone struggling emotionally with any issue.

This book isn't exactly what I expected, but better probably. While reading it, it seems more like you're just having a convo with a couple other coaches more so than reading a book. It gives experiences (case studies) and reassurance to coaches. I'm writing a paper on coaching burnout and it helped a bit, and any coach going through a stressful season could find it handy as well. Also, just being proactive newer coaches should take a read and see that when a situation rises it's not just them!

The more important plays of the more important series (20, 30, 60, 80) are described in detail vs different fronts (50, 4-3, 4-4), plus a goalline and short yardage guide. Very well done !

Coach Dennis Creeham of Rutgers University has simply written the "Bible" of wing -t books. This book and it's companion book on installing the wing-t are outstanding. After reading both books you will know all there is to know about this exciting and productive offense. Simply the best book I have ever read on installing any kind of offense.

Unique history of football offenses

Review Date: 2007-10-11
Despite the old fashioned production quality, I really like this book. If you are a football coach trying to decide on what offense to run, this is a great place to start. Offensive fanatics will also find it facinating. Ken Lyons covers offenses back to the beginning of the 20th century including the Short Punt, Notre Dame Box and TCU Spread, up to modern one back offenses. He has about three to four pages for each offense including strengths, complications, personel required, and key plays including diagrams. Amazingly coaches can still win games running something other than the West Coast Offense.
