This book helps explain the inner workings of the underworld, as well as give new Aracnos and explinations for lands beyond the Stygian Underworld.

An absolute must-have
Helpful Votes: 5 out of 5 total.

This book is second in importance only to the Wraith: The Oblivion core rules. Containing tons of background information, new uses for Arcanoi (and three entirely new "lost" Arcanoi), new character and Shadow archetypes, and even a guide to playing Wraith in other cultures' lands of the dead, there is something in here for everybody.

This book is an absolute must-have for any serious Wraith player.

The little guys are remembered at last!!!
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 1997-02-20
Its fantastic to finally have a source book for the "forgotten" characters... the social outcasts and eyesores. These characters are the most challanging to play and this author brings new depth to role playing a pirah. James Moore's constant tongue in cheek humor keeps the book interesting and enjoyable. The new information available makes creating a "socially unacceptable" character much easier and offers many new avenues to choose from

Mix Up enviroment

Review Date: 1999-04-21
One another great hing about this book is that you can mix up a little the enviroment the players are used to play. Getting Vampire and Werewolf players to play togueter was a great idea, except for the fact that the vampire players were complaining that the "Lupines" were kicking their asses, but it was fun anyway. It's a great book.

Tremendous, important novel of basketball, ecology & life.
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 1999-09-11
Tom LeClair's witty and entertaining novel of basketball's minor and euro leagues is so much more than the candid and humorous tour of garbage ball it starts out as. A hanger-on point guard jumps from the CBA and college recruitment schtick to "pro ball" in Athens, where he unwittingly becomes involved in an eco-terrorist plot. LeClair's real triumph isn't the wonderful depiction of Michael Keever running the point on the floor (and LeClair's depiction of the game is criminally strong) but that same character's ability to weave through the complex human drama surrounding him and go to the hole. Brilliant, satisfying novel.

LeClaire's mastery of dialogue is amazing!

Review Date: 1999-02-26
Don't even think about picking this book up unless you've got a weekend to kill. Mr. LeClaire is a highly skilled writer expert at creating empathy for his main character, excellent dialogue, and gripping suspense. The book follows the exploits of Michael Keever, an American with almost NBA potential who plays for a Greek professional team. Keever occupies the spot on the team reserved for foreign players with Greek ancestry. His only problem: he isn't Greek and a mysterious woman knows his secret. If Keever's ancestry is determined before he collects his bonus, all of his hard work will be for nought. Thus, Keever, is forced to use his basketball-honed deception skills both on and off the court. If you like suspense, you'll love passing off.

It's the perfect book for the young reader. Great book for a book report for the elementary school children. My son enjoyed the book and learned a lot about his favorite football player.

Perfect for grade-school kids!

We struggled to find books on Payton Manning at our local libraries and even the larger-chain bookstores... nobody had anything useful on their shelves for a grade-school book report. So we bought this one online and it was perfect. It was easy enough for my 3rd-grader to read, and is filled with enough useful information for a book report on Payton's life and accomplishments.

Contrary to the general opinion, Genesis games can be quite hard and quite long, perhaps even as long as some of the PS and N64 games. Something like PhSIV definitely needed a thoughrough guide, and it got one. This guide is perfect (if you can get it for a reasonable price) - the maps are good, the strats are good, it follows the storyline and even gives you insights on parts you might have missed (and you will miss plenty). Best of all, the guide never gives you too much, and even when you think that you've learned everything about the game from this book, there is always something else to learn.

Author of "Stories for a Stormy Night, Vol. 1."

I just finished reading "The Piano Player" written by Guy Verreault.
It is a delightful tale of mystery and adventure as we follow Jacob Shreiber, a private eye, solve case after case. His current one has him looking into the sudden killing of a piano player named Carl Murdoch. The death appears highly suspicious, and as Jacob starts probing around, his search draws him deep into unsavory circumstances. He must deal with a religious group referring to themselves as "the sons of God" and eventually finds himself prying into the shady world of the Mafia itself, headed by Vito Profacini.
In the course of his investigation, Jacob must confront thugs and a host of other obstacles, the more serious of these being the several attempts that are made on his life.
Jacob is fortunate enough to have close ties with Lieutenant Jones of the LAPD and Don Ryle of the FBI. This makes him privy to critical information, which would have otherwise been inaccessible to him. Using the clues he gathers, Jacob is a methodical worker and stays on a case even when everyone else is ready to give up.
Mr. Verreault keeps the action moving at a dizzying pace. He spikes the story with a slew of cases that grab the reader's attention. It keeps one guessing as to what will come next and compels one to read on.
The ending turns out totally different to what the reader would have expected and catches one fully by surprise.
"The Piano Player" is truly a great read.

This audio guide exceeds a high standard of excellence. The ability to communicate makes (this audio guide) the best in the field. It was clear, well organized, and the music enhanced the experience. The map provided us with clear directions to the most important aritfacts in the room. This audio guide was without a doubt the best!

The background music was an added plus that we had not expected. By following the audio guide in conjunction with the provided map we were able to see and understand everything about st. Mark's Square in the time we had available. We will be looking for WhiteHot Productions audio guides every where we go in the future. Kudos to the narrator for making this so enjoyable.

Dr. Dachman gives us a book that reminds us of an historic event in our country's past, introduces us to a character that we'll want to know better, and pulls it all together into a book that adults and children alike will treasure. The story is sweet and almost believeable, the illustrations are perfect, together what a phenomenal chronicle. The recommended website mentioned in the book made the whole experience so much fun to hear the music and see the book come to life--what a great combination for kids! Can't wait for the next adventure myself!!!

Excellent!
