Although this book is out-of-print, taking the trouble to find it will be worth it. Charles Lamb gives concise summaries of the plots of three Shakespearean plays: Romeo & Juliet, The Tempest, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. There are a few big words, so it is best to read this book along with children, but the stories are short and exciting enough to hold attention. In addition, the illustrations by Judy Mastrangelo are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Shakespeare himself would have been proud.

Fans of soul music in general and the efforts of pianist/composer Mary Lou Williams in particular will not want to miss Soul On Soul, an in-depth biography of the jazz musician's life and achievements. Williams pioneered some of the most beloved styles in jazz music, writing for Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman and almost all the 'jazz greats' of her time: Soul On Soul blends biographical insights with background on performances, recordings, and the evolution of jazz music.

I can't say enough great things about this book! It was one of my favorites when I was a kid, and I want to know why it's out of print!

This volume is very welcome to those who are interested in the 19th century American stage and especially those who are interested in the almost-forgotten actor Lawrence Barrett. Barrett was one of the first American actor-managers who oversaw all details of his productions and this book illustrates his creative control over the plays he performed. Two of Howells' plays were performed by Barrett to great acclaim and Barrett made sure that everything went according to plan. You could call his letters, dashed off in a spare moment, as harping and irritating, but he was a perfectionist which undoubtedly made Howells' plays all the stronger upon the stage. Barrett was never one to refrain from criticism! The letters are arranged chronologically so that the course of their relationship unfolds naturally. A final letter, separated by the last one by several years, is a touching note of sympathy for Barrett's widow. Despite their artistic differences, these two men truly respected each other. A wonderful book.

This is an excellent study guide. My instructor insisted we all get it because test questions came directly from the guide. I'm very satisfied with it. The NCLEX questions at the end of each self-test were also very helpful. I would advise all future RN students to buy it.

I am in the first year of a 2 year RN program. I was having trouble reading the massive amount of material in the chapters and not being able to quiz myself over my knowledge. With this study guide, I can quiz myself, then review the sections I missed questions on. Very much recommended.

There are sample tracks on the Alert Programs website to preview. My favorite part of this program is that it is easy to use in any environment. Kids do not need to be pulled out of the classroom or separated from peers or siblings when using this program! It is appropriate for all kids in all environments. Teachers are actually willing to use this (and other AP products) in their classrooms. I have used it in an integrated class and in integrated summer programs and it has been a hit! I really appreciate being able to keep my clients in the environments that are important to them...and this program has been popular with most. It is catchy and kids (and parents) tend to hum it or sing it when they leave sessions!

As a dermatology resident I would recommend this book. It covers dermatologic surgery in detail. The early chapters are thorough and cover aspects of preop assessment, instruments, sutures, antibiotics etc. The mid chapters cover the flaps in detail for a dermatologist. There are then good chapters on cosmetic procedures. While laser surgery is changing all the time the principles are explained here, dermabraision has not changed. The chapters on sclerotherapy are good.

Overall I would recommend this book for a resident with an interest in surgery or cosmetics. If you are not interested in doing a fellowship or specializing then this may be a bit much but your department should own one.
