I have been extremely pleased with this cookbook. The recipes are not complicated and can be served for a weeknight dinner or a special occassion. Would love for the Birmingham JL to release another edition!

My husband and I cook a LOT and this is, by far, our favorite cookbook. Each and every recipe is simply delicious. You can prepare a fantastic meal without being a culinary graduate. Everything is well laid out and -- again -- DELICIOUS. I am so confident in this book that I will try new recipes from it on company. Buy it NOW!

This is one of the best cookbooks we own. The recipes are easy to follow and execute. There are a number of new ways to cook old dishes. Not one recipe has been a clunker. This cookbook gets used more than any other around our house. We have enjoyed preparing the recipes and tasting the wonderful results.
This is a cookbook worth having whether you have only a few cookbooks or a few rooms of cookbooks.

This book lives up to the promise of its title; there are very nice ideas for quick decorating, when company is coming, and for making a new home "yours". The gorgeous photos in the large format book illustrate the concepts beautifully, and there are lots of nitty-gritty hands-on tips and illustrations.

This is a beautiful cookbook. The photography is lovely, and the recipes are luscious, and not all that difficult. They are hearty, southern fare with a gourmet spin. I could just sit and read the cookbook, and look at the pictures, but it inspired me to get off the couch and into the kitchen. It would make a fabulous gift!!

This cookbook is what I would consider good but not great. I definitely do not like this cookbook as much as I liked the Birmingham Junior League's Cookbook Food for Thought. I would highly recommend Food For Thought whereas I have been disappointed by this cookbook.
This cookbook is definitely fancier and more money has been spent on elaborate color pictures and a hardback cover. However, the recipes are not as tasty nor as appealing. Whereas I often open Food For Thought for food inspiration, Tables of Content leaves me unsatisfied. I search through the pages but the recipes are lacking the appeal of those contained in Food For Thought.
While the pictures are gorgeous, I would skip all of the new fancy flair and spend the money purchasing Food For Thought instead.

I bought this cookbook for a dinner club and so far, it's a great book. I have only tried 2 recipes, but they were fantastic and relatively easy. After flipping through the book I earmarked many more recipes that I would like to try. It's going to be a fun cookbook to use!
