Gives a very clear view of the happenings during partition of India. For me this book also put into perspective the role played by major players like Gandhi, Nehru, Jinha, Patel, Mountbatten etc. and their interpersonal relationships and politics.

i enjoyed reading this book; it is a wonderful resource to add to my collection! I like the illustrations and pictures which allows the reader to gain a clearer insight as to the traditions and practices of Army Officers Wives in that era.

This book was exceptionally well written and informative. Research was thorough, and presented in an easy to follow format. Geared for middle and early high school students, adults will find it a great resource as well. Quick facts section in the back an excellent edition. Fabulous book! Highly recommended. I will definitely look for more books by this author!

I have found this book one of the best I've read. It consists of constant plot twists and keeps you on the edge of your seat while taking you on a trip to many different countries. If you like great mystery novels, this book is for you.

The Spanish-Nahuatl/Nahuatl-Spanish vocabulary by Molinas is the most important lexical resource for "classical" Nahuatl. However, Molinas indexed his Nahuatl entries by phrase rather than what we would call "word", and certainly not by "morpheme". Such an approach is actually quite sensible; after all, one can dispute word boundary, and other pioneers of Amerindian lexicography have gone about their business in the same way, e.g. Roger Williams in his "Key" up in Rhode Island, not long after. But this approach makes it harder for modern students parsing such texts as have survived.
Campbell has re-arranged the data in the Nahuatl-Spanish section of Molinas' work to make it findable by the headwords that modern lexicography leads us to expect, i.e. by base-forms of the verb, noun, etc. He has added nothing beyond an English translation, though the original Spanish definitions have been retained. The scholar James Lockhart (in his "Nahuatl as written") has praised this work as a good entry point to Molinas.
Campbell has followed Molinas in not providing information on vowel length, nor has he indicated the presence of saltillo. Users will have to go elsewhere, most likely Karttunen, for these elements. Another drawback: the entries are in small, close-spaced print that can go on for pages, with subentries buried in mid-line. So, if you can get this valuable work, have your magnifying glass handy and stop once in a while to exercise a stiff neck.

This was my first time ordering a used book and all I can say is that it was a great expierence. The book was in great condition and we recieved it in a timely manner. Great job.

Perfect start for that new cook. Most recipes call for ingredients that the average person has in their kitchen cupboard. Even has some dessert recipes using cheddar cheese soup or tomato soup. Yummy.

This small book is just the right size for little hands and holds many delightful surprises. Each two page spread has an item that can be removed from a pocket such as a tiny paper chain, a letter to Santa, a 3-d gingerbread house and a little Christmas card or a lift-the-flap activity to do. The story follows brother and sister Sam and Amy as they prepare for Christmas. My daughter loves this book so much that I had to buy a second one to have on hand just in case she misplaced the first one. The only reason that I didn't give this book a ten was because of the British wording which is sometimes confusing ; Father Christmas instead of Santa and Christmas biscuit house rather than gingerbread house. All in all, a great little book!
