Mr Perrault shares his experience as restorator in Château de Versailles, through a comprehensive book on the art of gilding, providing useful information in order to choose the proper materials and techniques. The book is intended for professionals interested not just in gilding, but in preserving both ancient, historical techniques, as well as valuable antiques and antiquities, whose restoration demands the use of only the very best materials. A final list of materials and suppliers is provided, like a XVII century store I had the opportunity to visit while in Paris, and where authentic (historic) materials can be purchased for fine restorations.

I don't know about Earl Proulux, but I have yet to see anything by Yankee that didn't have a lot of value for reading and gleaning information. This book, like anything else put out by Yankee, is worth it's weight in platinum.

This is meant as a companion for his other book on ponds but does a very nice job by itself.

I've bought several expensive books on the subject ironically this is the only one I use. The instructions are concise and simple to follow. Very nice pieces... Buy this first and save yourself some money and aggravation!

This book is really cool! It tells how to make a lot of stuff that kids love, out of simple things you have around the house. Many of them just need paper and scissors; patterns are included but you need to trace them. Scanning them and enlarging would work better but it's hard to lay the book flat enough to get a good copy. I hope if it ever gets reprinted they do so in a spiral-bound form!

My son's favorite is the helicopter-parachute made from two strips of paper. You can make it in a jiffy and it works quite well.

No es el caso de este libro. El autor, Luis González de Alba, además de ser un erudito en estos temas es un escritor ameno, divertido y agudo, que lleva de la mano al lector, paso por paso y con todas las explicaciones de por medio, por los complejos y fascinantes vericuetos de la teoría de la relatividad, la mecánica quántica, las supercuerdas, la "partícula Dios" y tantas otras materias que desafortunadamente no han sido el fuerte de nuestros pueblos. Ya va siendo hora.

REALLY GOOD MATERIAL AND IN A FORM ANYONE CAN UNDERSTAND!! I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK HIGHLY.

This particular edition is hard to find (unfortunately).

Comes in handy when you least expect it.

Especially good and recommended for our foreign (non-native-English) students in any engineering discipline, new students, transfer students, and serious hobbyists and inventors in electronics.
