The exciting second book in the "Eyes" trilogy is finally here! The reader will not be disappointed in Catriona's adventures in the New World. As in "Eyes of Garnet", the research for "Sightless" is thorough and the vernacular transports us to another place and time as a good novel should. A nod to Mary Duncan for giving us the action-packed sequel we've been waiting for!

Where can I start! This has to be one of the best erotic romance novels out there! The story revolves around three of Poseidon's half-mortal daughters: Iaha, Adara, and Aella and the four sexy men they meet while trying to thwart Zeus' attempts to catch the girls doing something they shouldn't be doing.

The first story is Iaha's (Melinda Barron). Melinda Barron is one of my favorite authors ever, and this story just reaffirms why I love her books so much. (If you haven't read them already, try some of her other books such "Nuit Aux Trois" and "Wish Me Up, Rub Me Down" as well.) Iaha has this major crush on an underwater archaeologist named Shedd. Shedd is searching for the lost civilization of Yumani.

The second story is Adara's and is written by Midnyte Dupree. Midnyte reminds me why I love "bad boys" with a soft heart. Jack is an awesome hero and I just adore him. Anyway, how can you not love a guy who loves animals enough to face a hurricane to rescue them, even if he is a... (you'll have to read the story to find out!)

The third story is Aella's, written by Jade Buchanan. I love this story and her two heroes are super sexy. As I read this, I was wishing I was Aella. (LOL!) She's soooo lucky!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Greek mythology and/or paranormal elements in their spicy romances.

In early-day America, Mathias, Marc, Luke, and Jon are Cherokee cousins who have been blood brothers since the age of eight. As young warriors, they defy their clan's rules, which results in the shamans placing a curse on the four, confining them to the area around Eternity Mountain and commanding they protect the animals they each have been given the ability to morph into, as well as care for the environment. Matt, Marc and Luke choose to remain on Eternity Mountain, but Jon lives in Asheville, where he is a veterinarian. All men have telepathic and psychic abilities, and Jon is a healer.

In present day, Jon's divorced assistant Ellen continues to be harassed by her ex-husband. Noting Ellen's stress, Jon sends her to his cabin on Eternity Mountain, hoping this respite will help her to relax. Jon telepathically requests his three brothers keep watch over Ellen during her stay there. Matt saves Ellen, who is lost and injured, during a snowstorm, and their mutual attraction cannot be denied. The two quickly fall into a heated romance, the likes of which neither has experienced before. Matt is shocked to realize he loves Ellen and wants her for his wife, but the fact that he will outlive her keeps him from speaking these thoughts. Ellen, on the other hand, thinks of herself as unattractive and something of a nut case. She feels she does not deserve a man such as Matt and, although she knows she is in love with him, resigns herself to the fact that their relationship is, at most, temporary.

Unbeknownst to both, danger and death lie in their path, but the fates intervene with a gift that can bring Ellen and Matt together and end his curse. However, a fatal pact stands in the way.

This sensual paranormal, the first in the Eternal Shadows series, will have fans clamoring for more. Matt, Marc, Luke and Jon are intriguing characters, and Hunter excels at developing a fascinating story wrapped around Cherokee history and legend. With superb visualizations, sizzling romance, gut-wrenching suspense, along with outstanding characterization, narrative and dialogue, this is one book that will attract many readers across all genres. Count this one a must-have, must-read. Highly recommended.

Aptly titled, Snow Signs uses the ambience of winter as background, with snow to carry the plot. When reality becomes paranormal" the clues lead to a resolution without breaking faith with the reader. Everything mentioned in the beginning of the story ties in nicely in the end. The author has done a good job of building just the right amount of suspense. Timing and pacing are excellent.

Sofia's Lobo promises romance and suspense -- and it delivers. I was absorbed by this tale of lovers reunited beneath the shadow of a horrible night. The characters really came to life for me and the author fleshed them out with so much emotion that I wasn't able to set the story aside until I finished. Everything about Ms. Blades' tale rang true from the snappy dialogue to the depiction of a non-white couple without all the annoying cliches. The sensual scenes were well written and perfectly suited to the two main characters whose genuine love and desire for each other never truly diminished. Equally impressive was the surrounding story of the local ghost and the way the author tied it to her characters in a meaningful way. The resolution of the story was incredibly satisfying and had me smiling through tears. This story and this new author are a wonderful addition to Red Sage and I'll be anxiously looking for more stories from Ms. Blades.

Donna Parker can always be depended on to spin a good yarn that can be shared with the whole family. After I read Song of Healing, I gave it to my youngest son. He loved it! This is a child who reads Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings... Song of Healing is a different type of story than the Fiddling with Murder series that Mrs. Parker also writes. It's fantasy and folklore that touches the modern world. I give it a thumbs up.

Linda Opdyke took time travel to the next step and beyond! Amanda Jackson and her ancestor Angelique Beaumont change places. Now it's up to Amanda to figure out why! This book had it all - romance, mystery, intrigue. It was one of those 'not to be put down till it's finished' books! I highly recommend this book.

Blow away life's troubles like the down of a dandelion and fall under the enchantment of poetry. "A Spell Too Far" by Colleen Avelli and Peter Crossland is a collection not to be missed. With a mystical flair, these two poets entwine their works like the twisting strands of a Celtic knot, creating enticing images to share with their readers.

Mythical creatures inhabit strange places, lords stand in defense, while turning the page brings love in emergence, or love at death's door. The beautiful reside here, but so does the terrible. With a balance of both there is equilibrium of sensations, and what more could a poetry collection offer? The simple side of life, with precious moments of normalcy, is examined with poetic eye and we look on as it takes flight on gossamer wing. A pirate tale, a broken heart, precious things waiting under the bed, these are topics of this work, admired. My favorites are "The Page of Hearts" in which love is found in many chambers, like a house of mirrors, reflecting the multitude of amore found in a life, and "Broken Glass" in which a soul is shattered by a love turned despair.

These authors reach into the hearts and imaginations of their readers and breathe life into the words. The talent here is twofold, lucky for us. This well rounded offering promises moments of contemplation, exciting adventure, and mystical musings. "A Spell Too Far" is an enchantment to wish for.

Every once in a while, a story comes along that strikes a shaft of joy in the reader's heart. Barbara Cary has penned a tale of timeless love that strives to overcome astounding obstacles. In fact, she pens within this wonderful novel two such tales of romance. One centers around two lovers not quite as through with one another as they thought they were, and another, more ethereal love that must find a way to become whole.

Lindsay is back in Washington State, on a small island in the Olympic Peninsula area, to be her cousin's maid of honor. What should be a happy celebration of family and friends is instead an absolute nightmare--thanks to the groom, Kent. The enigmatic man she spent four glorious days with the previous summer, the man she can't quite get off her mind, is about to marry her cousin Sarah instead. How can the spirit of the heart bow down to what is so clearly wrong for it? As much as they try to deny what is in their hearts, Kent and Lindsay cannot deny what is happening to Sarah. An old cottage Kent is restoring for Sarah holds an unnatural sway over the increasingly frail woman. When Lindsay experiences her own supernatural phenomena, will she be able to enlist Kent's aid before it's too late to save Sarah? They'll have to employ their noblest of intentions in order to solve this ghostly mystery.

Author Cary quite took my breath away with an eerie, haunting tale that was literally impossible to put down! Be warned, if you're reading the e-book format, go ahead and print every page at once--you'll want to take this one everywhere. Despite its long length, I finished it in less than a day, I was that riveted. Lindsay is a delightful character, the kind that takes a licking and you cheer on when she gets on her feet each time. Kent is a man tormented by his frustrations, and he longs for two women, but only one can truly fulfill him. Cary takes the time and effort to develop her characters and I felt I had come to know each of them by book's end. Even our mysterious ghost is a character made almost flesh and blood. The suspense surrounding him and Sarah was beautifully drawn out. All in all, a wonderful first experience by Barbara Cary, an author I would love to see more from!
