This book by Robert J. Faust is an excellent guide to the proper care of Nile Monitor Lizards. It has great photos, and detailed explanations of anything you'd ever need to know about nile monitors and how to care for them. This book helped me a lot in my experiences with Nile Monitors.

How is a community garden different from a personal backyard garden? Our Community Garden is a first-person lyrical story which brings together the goals and experiences of one Audrey Aubergine and her friends, who tend their community garden and play together there. Add folk art colorful illustrations and warm drawings and you have a lovely piece which teaches kids about community garden fellowship as they read the story of working together.

This was one of the best collections of poetry I have ever read. Though my critique may be somewhat tainted by the fact that I had dinner with her when she came to SF, I feel that the person who wrote those tales in the book-was the same sensitive person and talented artist I met and enjoyed the company of. As a young aspiring writer myself, Jessica gave me a confidence that I too can pursue my dreams, even if I never become famous for it. I told her that there are a lot of things that make me angry with this world, and fill my head with a lot of violent thoughts. She told me to "punch the paper" and let it out. This a terrific book for infants. The illustrations are well done and the text is very simple. My 8 month old loves it! The book is about an adorable little princess who wants a pet. Each page shows an animal and what sound the animal makes. My son loves when I make the animal noises. There are other books in the Little Princess Board Book series that are good as well. They each go over familiar themes, bedtime, animals and shapes but the illustrations give them a fresh perspective.

We bought it for our granddaughter who hadn't learned to read. It really helped her.

One book is a great book of recipes for those puppy lovers that are either fed up with over processed commercial dog food or just want to add a little special meal to their dogs diet.
The other book is filled with great training tips for a new puppy.
Both books are excellent.

I bought this book as a for an animal science class. It is very informative and I find myself reading it just out of enjoyment.

I'm surprised noone has commented on this wonderful book yet! This was one of my first dog books (and believe me, I have alot) and it's still one of the best. Michael Fox gives excellent in depth information on the intellegence and abilities of canines. Nearly half the book covers ways to understand the dog's thought process & habits and how to decode the dog's language. I have found all this information to be quite accurate. In addition to these guides, Fox provides important chapters on how to correctly raise a puppy. These completely cover the socialization process and include a chapter on dogs and kids, among other things. Fox also touches on the subjects of the dog's sixth sense and animal rights. The last two chapters provide IQ and Temperment Tests you can use in choosing a new dog or evaluating your own. There is also a helpful appendix of FAQs including bad habits, neutering, and overcoming car fear. Although Fox doesn't provide extensive information on ways to train your dog, the obedience chapter is thorough (and humane) and simple to read & understand. -Great for quick reference! There is a good amount of advice included on types of training methods and theories.

This is a MUST read book for any dog lover!
