Art Leidecker has drawn from many of the top marketing and success minds around, while adding his own unique twist to the mix. From Scratch and on a Shoestring is easy to read and packed with information. While I have studied Napoleon Hill, W. Clement Stone (who I personally had the opportunity of meeting twice), Earl Nightingale & the marketing of Dan Kennedy, Mr. Leidecker has taken many of these principles and concepts and refined them down to a workable plan. Through his use of "Focused Concentration" and worksheets, this book is a must read for anyone opening a new practice (or building an existing one!). As I plan to transform my chiropractic practice into a hypnosis practice, I will utilize all of the ideas put forth in From Scratch and on a Shoestring!

This is an excellent, informative book. It is ideal for newcomers to the operating department and in depth enough for existing operating department workers to brush up or add to existing knowledge. With an array of authors, all of whom are either still working in or teaching about operating department practices, this book provides up to date knowledge for the generic operating department worker. Whilst some books provide vague guidelines, this book provides a difinitive structure for practices. The information is broken down into topical chapters and reads easily. Whether it is just for personal reading, departmental reading or for reference, I strongly recommend that every operating department should own a copy of this book.

Este es un excelente libro introductorio para la genética de peces, especialmente para acuaristas, acuicultores y biólogos marínos. En general presenta un ingles simple que permite que sea leído por casi cualquier público que domine algunos terminos técnicos, característica que será muy apreciada por los lectores de habla hispana. El autor hace una muy buena división de la genética en fenotipos cualitativos y cuantitativos la cual resulta muy didáctica.

La genética mendeliana (fenotipos cualitativos) está tratada con exelente claridad enfocando todos los topicos (principios mendelianos, epistasis, penetrancia, expresividad, pleiotropía, etc) con ejemplos de peces, principalmente peces ornamentales (se las recomiendo a los acuaristas que deseen saber más acerca del control genético de los rasgos de sus peces ornamentales de interes).

La genética cuantitativa (fenotipos cuantitativos) es de las más simples y lúcidas explicaciones que he leido. Este tópico esta dividido en explotación de la varianza aditiva por selección y en la explotación de la varianza de dominancia por hibridizacíon. Aqui el autor expone parte de su experiencia en programas selectivos con tilapia. Finalmente el libro trae un pequeño capítulo introductorio a la biotecnologia, corto pero preciso. Aquí se exponen temas como inducción de triploides, gimnogenesis y androgenesis, ADN recombinante, etc.

El libro además de incluir un glosario de términos técnicos que facilita la lectura a las personas no especilistas en el tema, incluye además un anexo con estadistica básica y uno de nombres científicos y comunes de los peces mencionados en el texto, muy útil para los lectores.

This fresh book on German public takeover law is the best available introduction to this specialty of takeover law. It is concise, yet complete. The charts and tables as well as timelines greatly help understanding the complex legal matter. The introduction comes with the English and German versions of the statutory materials - in synoptical format. This is most helpful and must not be missed.

I am taking Medical Coding classes. The book we have @ school is completely Hard to understand. And oddly enough our teacher teaches out of this book, "Glencoe Medical Insurance: Coding"... Therefore, I bought it. I recommend this book over any others if you are trying to get the hang of the "whys and hows" of coding.

The title of the other book that is required by my school and also is the Super Extra hard to understand one... is Icd-9-Cm Coding Handbook, Without Answers 2004 by Faye Brown...

A comprehensive book covering every topic on International Engineering, Procurement, and Construction. It is well written, easy to read and very well structured and organized. The author has taken a non-technical approach by touching on personal aspect and pragmatic things such as impact of kidnapping, terror, etc. The only area left for improvement is that the author needs to elaborate more on some of the topics and include data on the recent mega projects in the Gulf area.

Great book! This is a very comprehensive book that spells out everything a business person needs to know to grow their company and go public. Also covers private placements, marketing and business plans. Basically it covers everything you need to know from the begining of the business until you sell it or have an IPO. I reccomend it highly!

This book makes me want to book a flight and make arrangments for an interview with the Manhattan New School administration and teachers! A very enjoyable book to read, Shelley Harwayne makes you feel a part of this fabulous school she and her faculty have created.I have recommended this book to many of my colleagues, all of whom are as happy with the purchase as I have been. A very important and inspiring book for the education of young children in the new millenium!

People in my industry (golf) finally have a "Bible" to refer to when it comes to professional irrigation systems. Laid out in a basic, yet thorough format this book has it all, from good photos to useful charts and glossary. Anyone even considering installing a new system should have this book at their side. I wish I had it when our system was designed and "thrown in the ground" by a purported expert.
