This is a very useful handbook for practitioners and teachers in antritust matters. This volume contents a complete overview of the european common legislation and the principles that orient the national antitrust laws in Europe. The organization of the information makes it an systemait and valuable reference to people starting in this area. The references to the jurisprudence and doctrine produced during the last 40 years is also useful and helpful. It is one of the top books regarding a systematic study about the requirements to analyze monopolistic practices. It is very useful to find differences between the US system and the european approach to the antitrust cases. Another area that is develop properly, is the relationship between antotrust an another fields like intellectual property, national jurisdiction and civil law.

i bought this book for two reasons: the content and its shape. i like photojournalistic books but this book is groundbraking !!!!! the book itself is a fantastic object 1" thick, 16" long and 5" wide held together by two stainless steel screws. the layout is very effective and the book seems a natural extensions of the narative. everything is clear in place and easy to understand. there are no misteries here. the case against milosevic is made following the 4 counts of his indictment and each one has photographs to support it. not only photographs by gary knight but also photographs takes by serbs that are strongly presented on a 4 page foul out. the captions are cleverly placed at the end of each section and are revelatory about the contenet of the book, not just date and place but stories that make the photographs so real and powerful. a great book. buy it without esitation.

The first edition of this work, published in 1977, was considered a landmark in legal scholarship. Subsequent editions have lived up to that standard. The present edition (3rd) is expanded to cover related laws in the United States that impact wildlife. The organization of this book follows an historical view up until the 1970s. From that point the book follows the development of wildlife law in response to the changing cultural values of "the environmental era."

There is little concerning wildife law in the United States that is not covered in this volume. The exception is the myriad of state laws, a task that would have consumed ten times the amount of space. All in all, this is a standard reference in the highest sense of the word. I have used this as a text in not only wildlife management classes, but also environmental ethics and environmental policy. The book is that useful. I highly recommend this to anyone interested in wildlife and wildlife law.

This and its predecessors are books for all seasons about a man for all seasons. We all owe our lives to him. It is a book for the hard working and the pampered, for nations that cut funds for their Veterans Administrations like the United States has almost continually done, and for parents who wonder how much more to pamper their little darlings so that they will be loved as fathers and mothers. Montgomery beat the best that Hitler could send against him and us, and he did the same wherever he was sent. His expertise was strategy, not politics, not taking advantage of interns or skipping out on his wife. We need a few more like him.

This book is a must read for anyone interested in the law, chaplaincy, politics, military .... basically for all. I picked this up on a lark and was drawn to the tale of the lawsuit which almost brought down the chaplaincy in the U.S. army. I was so impressed that I began to follow the writers other books. Highly recommended!

Excellent book, Mr Holbrook is very knowledgable on the subject matter. It is very educational, and can be hard to read at times, but once you get through all the leagleeze, it is great. One of the best books I've read on this subject, and I would highly recomend it to anybody interested in the second amendment, and what it REALLY stands for.

THE FOUNDERS' SECOND AMENDMENT: ORIGINS OF THE RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS considers the history of the constitutional rights of Americans to bear arms in early America from 1768 to 1826, offering up the first book-length account of these origins based on the Founders' own statements from newspapers, debates, and legislative resolutions. The depth and detail added to source material quotes makes this a fine pick for both college and high school collections strong in American history and politics.

Cathy Packer is one of my professors at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There's no one that knows media law like she does. This book is just another example of how brilliant she is with her subject matter. Buy this book today. You won't regret it. A+

Donald Bloxham's Genocide on Trial is among the most comprehensive and authoritative studies of post World War II war crimes trials ever written. Unlike most books on the subject, Bloxham does not limit his study to Nuremberg's International Military Tribunal. He reviews the vast majority of Allied war crimes trials and also the premature releases of convicted war criminals during the 1950s. Using new archival sources, Bloxham documents the British government's premature releases of prominent war criminals (like Kesselring and von Manstein) during the Cold War. The author convincingly proves his contention "that war crimes trials did little to clarify conceptualizations of Nazi criminality in the public sphere anywhere." Genocide on Trial should be mandatory reading for anyone interested in the history of war crimes trials.
