A great guide for a patent practitionerReview Date: 2000-05-23

Clear and conciseReview Date: 2008-09-16
As with the previous book by these two authors, the language is clear and concise. While written to address legal issues, the language is understandable by anyone in the business community.
Well done.

Technology "Vigilantes"Review Date: 2007-01-18
This book tells you "how-to" know who has achieved a particular purpose and how, by explainig you the necessary tools and techniques to scan the external environment of your company. This is a very important stage in any innovation management process since you can profile and see the whole technological trajectory: its major and more significant players, required knowledge base and resources, and where that paricular trajectory is heading.
If you are involved in the strategic management of technology and innovation you will find this book a very important reading for the success of your company in the future. In order to enhance your competitiveness you need to know what is going on and this book tells you how to do it.

Patently-O Book ReviewReview Date: 2006-05-09
This is not primarily a textbook for law students. No, the book provides answers and focused analysis that a practitioner will find extremely useful. The focus of the book is clearly the interplay between patents and the FDA. However, the book also details the pharmaceutical patent prosecution process and particular litigation issues that are important in pharmaceutical patent litigation. The editorial review on Amazon (above) does a good job of describing the contents.
I have found the book useful and would recommend it to you as well.

Great Product and Great Thinking Involved...Review Date: 2007-09-16

Top 5 book! Required required for all UndergraduatesReview Date: 2003-07-20
No doubt there are many who will see this review and say "what a wanker" but that's because more than 90% of the world's workforce has no clue as to why they are really there nor what the cornerstone of all economic activity actually is.
Inquiring minds want to know. To maximize the latent potential of this book, I would recommend this critical thinking site which interestingly is also Australian ..
All companies need better thinkers and those that understand why they are there because when you know the "why", the "what" is a whole lot easier.
One caveat: I strongly disagree with the suggestions in the book that IP belongs to everyone or that it "must" be shared and will refute this in a book of my own, hopefully by the end of 2003. Otherwise, the book rates up there in the way, Jose Wales, Amadeus and Good Will Hunting do as movies. Substance counts! Drahos gives you your money's worth. (I have no connection with Australia, Australians nor Dr. Drahos. I found this book in the course of my own research on Amazon.com)
