I have had this particular book since 2001 (It was semi-new then). I still use it to this day 9/30/06. I have yet to find a bodybuilding book that is as comprehensive as this one. It goes over in detail all excercises for a particular muscle group and gives a wide varity of individual excercises for that group. It breaks down whether you have dumbells or free wieghts or machines. It goes into all supplements / hardcore drugs, cycles for both and positive and negative effects. It is an older publication but still to this day I have not found a better bible.
Helpful for Hardcore bodybuilder!

This book is part of a series that Mary Engelbreit issued a few years ago. This book series is comprised of these nifty little books filled with great ideas, depending on the topic. The photos in the book are absolutely amazing, just as all of M.E.'s books have wondeful photos. Ideas are easy to follow. Very inspirational.

'Celebrating Time's 75th anniversary, this book presents work commissioned for the magazine's cover by some of the century's best-known artists, ranging from Andrew Wyeth's portrait of Dwight Eisenhower to Andy Warhol's Michael Jackson. This book presents seventy-five artworks commissioned for the magazine's covers by some of the century's best-known artists, from Dwight Eisenhower by Andrew Wyeth to Michael Jackson by Andy Warhol. Faces of TIME accompanied an exhibition organized by the National Portrait Gallery, Washington, D. C. Among the outstanding covers reproduced are Roy Lichtenstein's dynamic 1968 image of Bobby Kennedy, Ben Shahn's Martin Luther King, Jr., and Gerald Scarfe's papier-mache caricatures of the Beatles. Jay Leno relates his feelings - and his mother's reaction - to being pictured on the cover of TIME. Frederick S. Voss provides a visual history of the magazine and shows how making it onto the cover of TIME has come to be the ultimate accolade.' - From The Publisher

I felt so daunted by the idea of getting everything recorded and organized, but this book put the fun back into scrapbooking my family history. I love the idea of doing individual pages celebrating just an aspect of someone, or a small album that celebrates just one thing, and not having to put down their entire history if I don't have all the information. It also showed great ways to organize all the information I do have on a page. But perhaps the best tip I saw in the book was doing a page that asked questions about a photo and speculated what it might mean. Someone down the road might be able to answer that question, but not if no one ever asks it. The layouts are fresh and fun, and not at all cluttered.
The only book you need for heritage scrapbooking!

Okay, so I just bought this book from my local scrapbooking store yesterday and have not read it cover to cover or anything, but just browsing this book I have already been inspired to get moving on the daunting task of cropping my entire family history. It has checklists to get organized, advice on how to make it more fun and less hassle and lots of conversation starters on how to get some great information from your family. It has great layouts and idea suggestions for multiple photos and an index in the back with 75 sketches from Becky herself. The book itself is absolutely beautiful and very much a keepsake within itself. I look forward to some quiet time, so I can really sit down and get every detail out of this fabulous find. A must have for any heritage scrapbooking project!

I completely agree with Sharon Owens' review of this book. It was my favorite book as a pre-teen. My family never had enough money to send me to summer camp, but I was able to go through this book. I really identified with the main character, 12-year-old Chris. I remember reading it over and over and enjoying it more each time. It inspired me to write some short stories of my own. I very highly recommend this book!

I remember reading this book about the age of 12 or 13. It is about 5 girls who spend the entire summer at sleep-away camp. Their adventures and life lessons really struck a note with me and I remember reading this book over and over again. I would love to find a copy again for myself to add to my collection of childhood favorites. I would also love to see it re-published so that young girls could again learn from the lessons in this book.

The editors have done a superb job separating the wheat from the chaff in this comprehensive cookbook. It has something for everybody, and it picks literally the best recipes from each new cookbook. Based on some of the recipes I've tried here, I've purchased (for myself or as a gift, since the holidays are upon us!) two of the reviewed original books in their entirety. Food & Wine has done an excellent job of saving us both time (in finding) and effort (in trying) new and innovative recipes.

This is the most intellectually compelling wine guide written in the modern era. I continually find myself turning to it and reading it again and again. There are few pallets that match the constellation of Stephen Tanzer, David Schildknecht, and Joshua Raynolds, and they are all available within these pages. An invaluable tool that will save you costly mistakes and pay for itself in the selection of a single mixed case.
Wine geeks frequently cite that this guide is for more easily obtainable bottles, implying a criticism of Robert Parker's phenomenal access to and reviews of obscure releases. In addition, the median price and price range of those wines considered here is less lofty than the Parker world. My own view is that there is a place for both, and that world wine offerings are so bountiful and complex that there is more than enough reason for the serious wine drinker, or the casual fan who wishes to maximize their budget, to read this guide and other leading critics' guides as well.
A particular strength is Schildknect's appreciation for German and Austrian wines, and particularly in the case of the latter, the last true wine bargains on the planet. The complexity, fineness, and excellence of both terroire and grape are unmatched in Austrian whites. Couple that with excellent winemakers, then add the coup de graces: fewer corked bottles than white burgundy, and you have no contest. This guide is essential.
