Simply put. Pure Genius!

Many art books show you the finished product. However, if you really want to see the process in its early stages? Then getting this sketchbook is the way to go.

This sketchbook doesn't have any commentary. The author decided to for go the instructions and just gave you the art. Pencil, pen and shading to show you his mindset. You see how various characters in the comic are fleshed out. All this book has is picture after picture of art. Facial expressions, Robots, Vehicles and Rough drafts. This is a must have for anyone that wants to study a great artist.

If anything it's just too short =]

This book is a must for anyone who is a fan of Frezzato's 'The Keepers of the Maser' series published in Heavy Metal magazine. It shows how he comes about his ideas, and I'm sure you'd be able to get more out of it than I if you can read French. Example of it's excellence: The left page is his ROUGH page layout and the opposite page will be the final SKETCH before coloring and cleanup. Did I mention that this book is a BIG format? I hate books that are tiny. Oh, and it's a nice hardcover too at a decent price. EXCELLENT learning material for a comic hobbiest or a professional. It's stunning. This book is well worth the price and I say you should get it while you can and hide it from your friends, haha. The book is not just beautiful, it is educational because it gives us a glimpse into the process.

A technical genius of the graphic novel, frezzato brings a new and fresh style of sketch and pastel to his art work that has only been seen in other such comics as Books of Magic. His creative work is favorable and loveable and at some points very abstract, yet heartfelt. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in seeing the drawings behind the paint of Frezzato's beautifully rendered comics.

If you've never read anything from "Trek - The Magazine for Star Trek fans" , don't worry, you're not the only one. I haven't. When i got this book, the only Star Trek Magazine was the official one, Communicator. So, ignoring the fact, I read it, originally thinking it was a fanfiction book. But it was actually a book about facts, opinin and debate. It had intresting situations, about characters from the series, Classic Trek vs 90's trek, Trekkie conventions and more. The book got me more interested in Star Trek itself, and would highly reccomended it for any Trekkie, casual viewer, or someone who is just slightly interested in.

The Best of Trek = Trek at it's Best.

I'f you've never read Trek magazine (or even heard of it),don't worry. You're not alone. Until i read this book, i thought the only Star Trek mag was Communicator. Ignoring that, I picked up the book and startred reading. It was full of opinions, facts and debate. It had lots of interesting topics, like who would be my most logical woman for Spock, How Star Trek movies are like literature, and why Classic Trek is better than the '90s trek shows (my favourite). The Best of Trek is Trek at it's Best.

A must read to improve your clay target scores

Having shot clay targets for a few years. The ideas in the book were not out of the blue. The author just layed it out in a clear manner. I especially liked the way in which he list the different level of shooters. So you can get a better feel where you are and what you need to train on.....I would recomend this book to anyone who wants to inprove their score in any of the clay target sport...It is not written for a golfers eyes it is written in a shooters eyes. So the visualization process is easier to see the point ans the Targets turn to Dust.

I have read this book and you will find many jewels of how to "think" and how "not to think" when shooting clay targets in competition. It is well worth reading. The slower you read this book the more you will retain for there is much here hidden within each page. Many top shooters I know have read this book, you should too.

Thorough & In-depth "System"

My shooting buddies and I have had many discussions around the mental side of the game. "How do you turn it on?" "If you really concentrate on winning the big tournament, you will put too much pressure on yourself."

Dr. Keyes really puts all the mental aspects of shooting together into a comprehensive system that can allow you to know where you are mentally and how to get where you want to go. Very interesting and enlightening.

Stupendous dissertation on cultural phenomenon

Review Date: 2006-07-25
The importance of this book can not be put into words, it must be reprinted. Hugh Fox provides many plausible accounts of cultural origins from remote antiquity. Fox gives much credit to indigenous cultures in establishing an evolving world civilization. Fox provides many terra cota illustrations to support many of his vast theories (many of them wearing Fezzes). This is one of the best books I've read bar none. A must read for all people with an active conscious for the truth.

This book needs to be reprinted!

This is a most excellent book that, while written in the 1970's, offers some real serious discussions concerning the growth of american civilization. The discoveries of the last two decades in the Americas make this book an absolute gem! No where else have I seen such a well thoughtout and well documented study into the mysteries of the American Peoples. Honestly, this book is pure GOLD! I read my copy in two days! I couldn't put it down!

Fascinating book!

It's too bad this book is out of print! Fox presents some incredibly fascinating theories about how early civilizations before this flood/cataclysm could have interacted with one another despite oceans and great distances. Especially interesting are Fox's ideas on how this cataclysm could have destroyed goddess (earth) worship, thus making it possible for patriarchal social structures to become predominant. Fox's theories make a huge amount of sense to me from a comparitive anthropological, religious/mythological, etc. point of view. Although its probably impossible to ever discover the truths to prove these theories, Fox brought together in this book an interesting collection of pieces to this puzzle, and actually made it quite entertaining. I don't have enough of a background in the disciplines covered in this book to know how far-out or sound these theories are, however reading this book has definitely made me want to learn more.

This book rocks!

I got mine bargin elsewhere for $... but it was worth every penny! The first part of the book features 10 different themed menus which is great cuz I always get tired of just making mashed potatoes and rice for side dishes. The menus come complete with entrees and 1st courses, etc.....

The rest of the book features pictures and is dividing into the standard sections that most cookbooks have: chicken, meat, poultry, starters/1st courses, deserts, etc.....

I love this book because the recipes are gourmet but indgredients are not rare and they are not as complicated to make.

This book is great if you are not into "comfort foods" and want to really cook something that tastes divine and pleases your husband/significant other :)

Truly easy recipes. Great photos. You'll love it!

I've cooked at least a dozen recipes from this cookbook. Each one is easy. All of them turn out great! The recipes use standard ingredients and spices found in most kitchens. The photos are mouth-watering. Get this book! Also makes a great gift.

A must in your cookbook library.

All the recipes are easy to make and delicious!! If I come home late and need to put something together, I go right for this book. The Oriental Spaghetti with Shredded Vegetables and Spicy Peanut Sauce is great and to make it easier, I just have all carrots. The Grilled Flank Steak is a snap with white rice on the side. All the recipes are simple and tasty with stuff you can easily find at your local grocery store. I highly recommend it, especially if you don't have a lot of time to put a meal together.

The Best Book On Sign For Young Children

This is the best book I have found to teach young children about Sign Language. I have used it with my own children and with my Girl Scout troop. The signs are easy to copy for young children and they enjoy learning Sign Language. Many of the books on Sign Language are too hard for young children this is simple. If you want a book that helps introduce signing this it.

I have had this book for years and loaned it to our youth minister. He found it to be a favoriate with the youth and would like to have several copies. They have used it in preparing performances such as "The Lord's Prayer", etc. One of the best and very simple to learn hand language.

Excellent. One of the best sign language books I have seen.

I borrowed this book from our public library and have used it with my 4-year-old daughter. She is very bright and this book has greatly contributed to her learning experience. I hope that the book will be published again soon, because I would like very much to add it to her library. It is much easier for a child to learn this type of thing than it is for an adult, because they can focus their attention more completely on what they are doing. I think that the book is wonderful.

This cookbook is extremely helpful for those who wish to incorporate natural foods such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables into their diet without sacrificing taste and without being a gourmet cook. Different foods are listed and given their particular health benefits. There are also quite a few different and simple diet plans that pertain to specific health concerns, i.e. preventing cancer, lowering cholestoral, weight loss, etc. All in all this cookbook is something of an encyclopedia and a comprehesible, easy to follow, and informative sensible eating guide.

This is the best book I have seen on foods that heal .
