The Munchkins revisitedReview Date: 2007-05-31
I always wondered about the actors and actresses that played the parts of the delightful little Munchkins, & therefore I was thrilled to finally get this book (as a Christmas gift).
This book will not disappoint. Not only does it give a wonderful background as to where the Munchkin actors came from, but also this book goes into specifics, regarding the most famous of the Munchkins actors/actresses (eg: the Lollipop Boys, etc). Such endearing folks they were! (Sadly, most of them have passed away by now...sniff!)
After reading this book, you will forever love and appreciate the little people that were part of such a unique movie.

Oz-some book!!Review Date: 2005-07-21
This book is a must-have for all Oz-fans, young and old. It's filled with rare photographs, little-known trivia and fascinating tid-bits. There is also a section about bloopers (find out about a scene where Judy Garland can clearly be seen wearing brown bedroom slippers instead of the Ruby Slippers!) and "urban legends" (no, the Munchkins did not get drunk & disorderly every night as portrayed in the Chevy Chase/Carrie Fisher movie "Under the Rainbow"!! Nor did a Munchkin commit suicide on set during filming; F.Y.I.: it's a large, exotic bird moving its head & wings that people think is the hanging Munchkin).
Reading this book will increase your Oz-IQ several points! What are you waiting for? Buy this book now!

Like the TV series a rare treat.Review Date: 2007-09-02
I will not comment on individual articles except to say that each author covered verious aspects of this great show, using examples from the scripts of the first two seasons. Even more interesting was the introduction and commentaries by Rob Thomas. As a retired high school teacher myself I had no problems understanding what he was doing.
I have to say that my wife and I are late blooming fans. In fact we met Kristen Bell at a convention, getting her autograph, before we had seen the series. We picked up the first couple episodes of season one at a video store and that was enough to get us to order the first two seasons. Never have we gone through a collection so quickly as we just couldn't ration them out. We now await our order for season three.
I understand there are movements to revive the show or to at least have a movie. TV Guide even rumored that Veronica Mars could show up on 24 as an FBI agent. That wouldn't work as Jack Bauer couldn't keep up with her. Also, Kristen Bell is a superb actress, as witness the Lifetime film Gracie's Choice. By now she probably has had countless offers.
I do hope that we have not heard the last of Rob Thomas and that his genius will again give us something special.

Excellent Nightmare on Elm Street reference / memorabilia.Review Date: 2007-11-16
I wish they'd update this and bring into a full-color format with a more modern media-centric look, and add material From New Nightmare and Freddy vs. Jason. As it is, it covers up through Freddy's Dead, the Final Nightmare, and is relatively complete.
It's hard to come by, but is great for the completist if you can get your hands on a copy.
Good book...some minor mistakesReview Date: 2006-12-29
The only real problem I had was, if your a devoted NOES fan like I am, you will notice a lot of minor mistakes throughout the book. For instance, Lisa, from Nightmare 2, is listed as Lisa Poletti, but in the movie her name is Lisa Webber.
Other than the few minor mistakes, this book is definetly worth picking up!

Very InterestingReview Date: 2006-05-28
It should be noted that this appears to be a first or second draft of the script. This becomes obvious when Heater is referred to several times as "Preacher" which I assume was the first name of the character in the script. Also, the dialogue overall is not as polished as it is in the series. Editing may have been done by someone other than Daley, or even the actors themselves, which would explain why Daley only had this version to give to the publisher.
If you've never listened to the series, do so before buying the book. I think it's much more interesting as an example of how editing can turn good writing into great writing than as a piece of writing itself.

General HospitolReview Date: 2001-08-08
It is a book called The Official General Hospitol Trivia Book from the hit abc T. V. show like All My Childeren & Who Wants To Be A Millionaire my favorite T. V. shows.
I will love General Hospitol that the book will remind you of the book Son of Black Beauty by author Phillis Briggs like Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen's videos Billboard Dad, How The West Was Fun, The Case of the Logical I Ranch & The Case of the Hotel Who Done it the ones that would be cool.
I'll love that book.
It would be just like Rodeo Bloopers 2 & 9 the videos.
For GH fans old and new alikeReview Date: 2002-02-23
For new viewers, this is a great way to catch up on past story of your favorite characters. See why Luke and Cassadines have fueded. Learn about Laura and her mother Leslie. There are several pictures from the show, but be aware, they are black and white.
I am the list owner of a GH fan group and I use this book to give weekly questions to the list. The members love seeing who will send in the correct answer first. Some who have viewed for many years have been stumped on occassion.
If GH is your show, this book is a must. It would make a really nice gift for someone you know who is a fan, too.

He changed meReview Date: 2007-04-13
Sandy was one of the most brilliant and irritating people ever to tell a story or to browbeat an egotistical young film student. His films and lectures convey that contradiction -- his every work is a pearl.
If you were not lucky enough to get Sandy's notes while at CalArts, you must buy this book.
Odds are good, you won't have the genius of Sandy MacKendrick, but you will appreciate how much you could grow as you strive to attain what he found so simple.
I was proud to invite Sandy to the first screening of my thesis film, "Pirate's Dagger", and it still hurts that he was too ill to attend. I wouldn't have gotten it done without his special form of encouragement.

Will VanGundy Ever Run Out of Creativity?Review Date: 2004-11-20
And it's about time someone got business people to start thinking like artists. Anyone in business creativity, ideation, and new-product development will find the VanGundy-Naiman approach not only inspiring and fun but incredibly effective.
This binderful of brilliance would be a bargain at $900.
