If you are interviewing for jobs, be sure to make this book one of your best friends. This, together with "What Color is Your Parachute" is a juggernaut of information designed to empower you to get that job. The first step to getting that job once you get your foot in the door is surviving the interview.

Yate, like Bolles, is a genius at honing in on strategies that increase one's chance of getting hired. He takes a list of possible interview questions and provides good verbiage and a rationale for how one answers. He also includes a section on appropriate attire; good hygiene; nonverbal body language and what to do and what not to do during interviews.

His books along with Richard Bolles' "What Color is Your Parchute" are the books that have helped me every single time I have changed jobs. Hats off to this book! Be sure to read "What Color is Your Parachute" as the ideal companion book to this one.

How to Personally Profit from the Laws of Success
Helpful Votes: 0 out of 0 total.
Review Date: 2006-08-20
The story of Sterling Sill's life is a personal and financial success story. As his own experience attests: "There is no such thing as lack of opportunity. The important thing to believe, and then to take the first step."

Readers of Mr. Sill's twenty-one books and listeners to his many radio broadcasts will welcome this new volume. In it he urges us to overcome the obstacles of rationalization, lethargy, self-deprecation, and procrastination that keeps us from achieving, and to learn skills that can lead to greatness.

A law, explains Mr Sill, is a theory that works. Each chapter of this book explores a specific law of success. A reader who applies these laws is sure to be helped to the personal and financial success he or she was meant to achieve.

Entering the insurance business as a salesman for New York Life in 1927, he rose quickly in the company. Under his direction the Intermountain General Office became the largest office of the entire company in sales volume and remained so for many years.

Mr. Sill served on the Board of Regents at the University of Utah and a building on the campus is names in his honor. He has served as President of the Salt Lake Exchange Club and of the Salt Lake Association of Life Underwriters. He is listed in Who's Who in America, 1976-77.

The quality of courage which Sterling W. Sill esteems is not ansentfrom his own life. In 1960 he was awarded the Carnegie Hero Medal for helping to save a thirteen year old boy from drowning in the ocean.

This book deserves attention as a statement of the principle Mr. Sill has used to achieve phenominal success as well as for the inspiration it will be for those who read it.

This volume is a compendium of chapters written by editor John Hancock and other highly regarded experts. Their clear, comprehensive book appears to be targeted to fund managers and corporate investor relations officers, more than to average green-minded investors. Don't expect passionate jeremiads on the health of Mother Earth. Indeed, the authors point to a growing scientific consensus that nuclear power is the safest way to wean the world from fossil fuels, and they insist that investments must generate profits as well as good will. This sound, useful volume will help educate investors regarding the growing significance of the SRI movement. We recommend it strongly, in part thanks to its expansive appendices detailing ethical policies, standards, definitions and performance. Some years ago, a Sesame Street social philosopher named Kermit the Frog observed, "It's not easy being green." That may still be true, but - as this book points out - it is getting a lot more profitable.

A book that centers on just one person...you!

This was a really enlightening read - I learned a lot about myself and others and it was a "voyage of self-discovery." I now feel that I can and must pursue what I have always wanted to do but haven't because I was always erring on the side of "doing what was expected." Well, Joyce Chapman reminds us that at any age we can be who we want to be. I wish my mother had read this book and practiced some of the exercises on me...but I will definitely do so for my children and more importantly, for myself now.

Heat up a pot of Earl Grey tea, snuggle into a favorite place and prepare to be mystified with romance, and love. The perfect mix of Psychology and Emotion, Page illustrates how and why the human heart is so confused. Astrological compatablilies, amazing mediations, and just great writting. This is my favorite "love" book. It will really help you understand this crazy thing called love.

I highly endorse this book as the authoritative source to navigate and filter all of your personal and business financial decisions through. It has received high acclaim and consumer acceptance since its release in 2005. The book features over 90 simple to use electronic calculators to assist in maximizing the saving and earning power of your complete financial portfolio. Also, it's an outstanding purchase investment for the prices available on Amazon.com. This price is less than half what a complete financial resource book like this would cost normally. It can be compared to current financial instruction and direction books from widely known Christian market authors and speakers like Dave Ramsey and Crown Financial Ministries. The purpose of this phenomenal book is to empower Christians worldwide in becoming victors over the financial resources that God has entrusted them with.
