I bought this book when I was doing research for my new child care center. I loved it! It is easy to read and entertaining. At the same time it provides valuable information from an experienced profesional. I loan my copy to parents who are looking to enroll their child in my program. As a parent I could relate to the stories and information.

Excellent help!

This book is a goldmine. I never thought I would have to worry about choosing a daycare center, but after I decided (with much agony) to move my child into a center, a friend suggested I read it. I am so glad I did. I realize some of the mistakes I made in my first-choice of daycare, and feel much more confident this time around. I can't think of a single question she did not address in this book, and can't recommend it highly enough.

This book helped give me much more peace of mind than I would have thought possible. My only disappointment is that I don't live close enough to put my child in her center -- the author sounds wonderful!

We speak Spanish and want our children to learn, so we purchased this book. The story is fun and the pictures are nice. We read it to them in Spanish, and they read it in English, as it has both languages. Our hopes are that when they become familiar with the story, they will read it in Spanish too!

Great story and recipe!

A wonderful story for Kindergarten-3rd grade readers. Recipe for cornmeal pancakes is outstanding and both my girls loved it. The pancakes are tender, flavorful, and have a slight crunch from the cornmeal. I serve the pancakes smeared with strawberry jam and my girls won't eat pancakes any other way.

I am a Kindergarten teacher who has read this book to many classes. They love it! Many little children relate to Carlos and his aversion to baths. I understand there are flaws in the translation, but, as a read aloud for children it scores big.

This book is extremely funny. Most of the children hate to take baths. This book has beautiful colored pages and the Spanish language is clear, fluent and well used. I recommend this book to be use in the classroom for English language learners or for dual inmersion settings.

Finally - leather realism that makes sense!!

David Stein has done a remarkable job with Carried Away. Leathermen finally have a book that makes sense about the reality, intricacy, emotions, dedication, commitment and personal journey of a consensual dominant/submissive master/slave relationship. This is not a "how to" book, it's a book written with heart and spirit that will touch you and have you thinking about the "why" or "why nots" regarding living the life of a Master or slave. The sex scenes David Stein writes about are HOT - but loaded with such reality you can actually envision yourself doing everything he writes about in real life - because - you can !!! The courtship of Terry (the Master) and Matt (the slave) is romantic but carefully and thoughtfully enveloped by the courage they have to acknowledge and embrace they journey they embark on. David Stein, thank you for Carried Away and sharing it with us.

I was never a fan of John Preston's "classic" work because I thought the characters were broad and unrealistic, the situations silly and the stereotypes contemptible. Like most fantasy books about D/s relationships, the main characters seem completely removed from life as we know it. What about the usual day to day, like jobs and family? Cleaning the catbox? Laundry? Cooking? The kind of things that real Dominant and submissives do in real time?

Enter Master Terry Andrews and submissive/potential slave Matt Stone. One night, after a very hot encounter, these two men begin a courtship by collar. Terry begins to look at a bottom he considered a gadabout player in a whole new light, and Matt begins a journey in which he has to understand what his urges mean and if they are true to him. Where in most stories, these issues would resolve inside a chapter or two, for "Carried Away" the characters each have to probe what their instincts demand. What will this kind of relationship do to their lives, and not just a fast lane romp, but for a long-term future?

For those reasons alone, "Carried Away" would set itself apart from the pack. Yet there's more. Author david stein infuses the novel with rich detail of the New York scene and the social activities that the city entertains. You get a well fleshed out background for the how and whys of Matt and Terry's actions and emotions. This is a novel in the old fashioned sense; a lengthy story with a well plotted sequence of events. And make sure you remember that this isn't a sex novel as much it's a heavily romantic novel which incorporates sex. Lots of sex. To the point that it becomes one of "Carried Away's" foreground characters instead of a background activity. After all, this is a leather love story.

The backgrounds themselves are described in the matter a masculine bottom would see them and not like an interior decorator. The words daub the spaces with color and detail without distracting from the plot, something usually missing in homomasculine writing. Mr. stein obviously loves these words. Everything from the steaming heat to the emotional tumult is given equal ebb and flow in "Carried Away." Not a phrase is wasted or situation shorted. Threads woven into the story come to realistic conclusions. And it's very important to note that in "Carried Away" nothing seems implausible. Not the sex, the kink, or the emotions of the main characters. I'll grant you that this kind of attention to detail makes for a hefty volume (this is no quickie read or any sort of flick-through book), but when was the last time you had a modern leather story that could satisfy both your lower gonads, frontal lobes and central heart in equal parts?

David Stein has gifted us with the most realistic, imaginative, and thoughtful Gay Erotic Leather novel that I have ever read. It may have taken him ten years to complete, but the literary bar has been "Carried" to a higher level.

What's better than a Hank the Cowdog book? Listening to theaudio cassettes, of course! The author himself does all the voices, and as usual, he brings the characters to life. In this adventure, Hank, Drover and Little Alfred must track and save Eddie the Raccoon from mysterious black-hooded hangmans in a haunted house. And if that isn't enough adventure for one day, Hank then has to save everyone from the neighbor's bull. Sure to please children of all ages and their parents, too.

Our family has spent hours laughing at the antics of Hank and the "security services" on the ranch. Both the author and the illustrator are masters at observing human nature. We love these books because they make us laugh at ourselves. Older children will get too "cool" to think they are funny, but I'll bet they'll be laughing along in a few years.

Forget the Kangaroo, It was Beulah

In case you're wondering about the title of this review, that was the title of one of the chapters. I think the funniest part was when Hank and Drover started talking about kangaroos and angels and drums and got all mixed up. I thought Hank was very nice and brave at the end. I also like Scraunch the Terrible. He was very funny. I liked it how Scraunch said "Scraunch not give hoot for dummy love song." And Hank said "That's okay, Scraunch, it's not for you, anyway." I found Hank's song "My Best For You" very funny and touching.

Frank Scoblete's new book is just so much fun to read! He has compiled the greatest record wins and losses of the great gambelrs and told their stories with great humor. There are excellent strategies in the book and all of them can be learned like the title says in 10 minutes or less. I loved his history of casino gambling too. This is a must-read gambling book.

A powerful message

I recently purchased pastor Sam's book and was captivated by it. I literally could not put down. I gave my heart to Jesus when I was just 3 years old, and have grown to love Him more with each passing day. Though I have always known the importance of worship, Changed in His Presence instilled a great hunger in me for more of God. I think this book is a "must read" for all Christians, as it teaches us there is always so much more to reach for in Him, and to never become complacent. Pastor Sam is such a gentle teacher and his love for others and above all, our Lord, shines through in his writing. If you haven't read this book, order it today. I guarantee you will read it cover to cover from the moment you pick it up.
