I love science fiction books. If you do too, you should get this one. The plot was really clever, and it wasn't like any one I'd ever read before. The book was exciting, and I stayed up late reading it. I got it from the library, but now I want my own copy. I sure hope the author writes another book!

My 3 year old daughter and I just finished reading this book, and we loved it. The original Adele & Simon is one of our favorites, and I was greatly anticipating the release of their new adventure. The pictures are fantastic, and quite challenging for my daughter to find Simon's lost items. I love the map of the US on the front cover detailing their journey. On every page when they were in a new spot, my daughter would say, "Find it on the map!" We especially enjoyed the page devoted to Boston because of the swan boat and family of ducks which reminded both of us of another of our favorite books, "Make Way for the Ducklings."
Thanks for another great book!

Great book on how sibling rivalries take a life of their own where children grow up. Many vivid details of situations are explored. The bottom line in most cases is that you need to set parameters on being a good enough sibling without compromising your own life. Good detail on the life of twins, middle children, braniacs and underacheivers and oh so much more. Excellent resource for repeat readings.

My 8 year old boy read this and immediately asked for more like this! He loved these books. They take the kids into the Middle Ages with three fictional kids from our time. Plus they fill it with fun facts from that time period. A great book, for learning and for fun reading!

Patty and the Big Red Bus is an fun story for all. I must admit that I enjoy reading it to children, as much as they enjoy hearing it. This is a great story for all kids but it is especially fun for a family. This book looks at sibling relationships in a hilarious manner, as Patty and her younger (but heroic) sister go on a series of adventures. The vibrant illustrations which span across every page will capture anyones attention. I highly recommend this book.

Duncan and Dolores revisited
Helpful Votes: 2 out of 2 total.
Review Date: 2001-08-13
Aloha Dolores continues the very funny adventures of a young girl and her cat, Duncan. Dolores is an extremely spirited girl whose exuberance often dismays Duncan as she includes him in her daily adventures. In this book Dolores sets out to win a trip to Hawaii by entering a contest sponsored by "Kitty Krunchies." Dolores' wise older sister, Faye, reminds her that thousands of people will enter the contest, but Dolores has no doubt that she and Duncan will win. The expressions on the cat's face are priceless and the vivid illustrations add to the storyline. My two daughters can't wait to add this book to their shelf right next to their very worn copy of Duncan and Dolores!

Most appealing "growing up" book in years.

Dale Meador wrote "Dusty Roads" as a tribute to people and places in the mid south of the 1950s. It is a warm, touching and humorous write that is a page-turner. His experiences may not have been shared by many but reading this work will have one wishing they'd lived then, too. When author Meador completes another work, I'll want a copy of that as well.

Awesome principles for teen girls!

CeCe Winans hits the nail on the head with this cute, fun, yet relavent devotional! She targets the very important topic of how to carry oneself as a daughter of God. This is important knowledge as it affects a girl's self-esteem, friendships, and romantic relationships. Every girl (and woman) needs to know who she is in God's eyes and how that affects her view of self and others. I mentor 3 teen girls at church and bought a copy for each--great book!

The children's book entitled "Am I Still Special" is a beautifully written book and has lovely pictures to complement the story! It is a "must have" book...especially if you
have the first book "Will The New Baby Be Bigger Than Me".
This book takes on a liitle journey of how this boy is feeling
with the addition of a new family memeber and he wonders is he still special in his parents' eyes that there is a new baby in their home. Happy reading!!
