Two different titles for the SAME book published within in 4 months?!!!Review Date: 2008-02-25
If not for this book, I wouldn't know where to begin. Review Date: 2005-01-16
Whatever your circumstances: the pains of infertility, wanting to adopt to add to your current family, or wanting to adopt because you're like me- you just know it's the right thing for you and the child you eventually end up with, I strongly recommend the book Adopting Online.com by Mardie Caldwell. I've looked in bookstores, on the Internet- and have never found such a concise, easy to understand adoption book that breaks down the process and guides you, step by step, through the entire adoption process and then some.
If I could personally thank Mardie Caldwell for writing this book, I'd do it. The next best thing is posting a book review in the hopes that she'll see it, and others will discover, as I have, this amazing adoption resource book.

Building Links between Marketing and Human Resources ...Review Date: 2000-03-20
"Talk about getting out of the box, this book blows the entire lid right off! If you want to position your organization to succeed in a tight labor market, this is definitely the way to go. In these days of low unemployment, your organization's future may depend on utilizing this creative approach to management." -- Sheila Ridner, BSN and MSHSA, CEO, First Hospital Corporation, Nashville, TN
Cost containment, increased productivity, and customer satisfaction have become watchwords for many health care organizations. Untapped Options offers a unique and innovative management model that addresses all three by aligning employee recruitment, training, and retention (Human Resources) with attracting patients and retaining them (Marketing). By allowing the mission, vision, and values of the company to synchronize the strategies of both departments, remarkable synergies are created that provide benefits for the entire firm. Properly implemented using the guidelines in this book, this fresh approach can result in improved performance, higher employee satisfaction, increased patient satisfaction and greater financial security for the organization.

Have you walked in my shoes?Review Date: 2003-03-24
No amount of "spirituality" will help a child with asthma will it? Yet there are no blood tests or x-rays to diagnose this. Does Mr. Welch actually know for certain that there is no medical tests to diagnose this problem? I have read material to suggest that an MRI does diagnose.
I thought this booklet to be stated in an offensive way. Does Mr. Welch have a child of his own that struggles and cries and tries his absolute hardest to remember and obey? I do! Until Mr. Welch can tell me that he walks in my shoes and knows for certain that ADD is just a spiritual problem, his words do nothing but offend.

Everything but sand and water play!Review Date: 2007-03-27
Alas, even the ideas that did involve sand and/or water were so elementary that no one would need a book to think of them. "Backyard Beach Party," for example, has the following instructions:
1. Set up two sand and water tables outside. In one of the sand and water tables, add sand and seashells. In the other, add water, sea animals, and boats.
2. Set up a beach umbrella and beach towels nearby.
3. Give the children beach balls and encourage them to have a beach party.
Then, there is the "Sand Castles, Canals, and Tunnels" idea:
1. Bring the sand and water table outside.
2. Fill it with sand, water, and other materials and encourage the children to create sand castles.
WOW! Sand castles!!! Thank goodness I bought this book or I never would have thought of that!
Seriously, I'd keep looking.

While the information that these books contain is very good, I find it a very shady practice indeed to publish two books in this manner less than 4 months apart without informing potential buyers of the duplication. It has left me very wary of the author and the publisher. In fact, I would guess the US ISBN Agency would be interested in knowing these books are the same...
