Many of the books for kids who come late to reading have themes that are too simple to engage these kids. My 7 year old loves
pets, and connected with this story of a boy trying to find his dog. The pictures are engaging (another element that is important
to my son as he is very visual - and an important feature for helping decode the words). The book is listed as "Just for
You! Level 1" ( K-Grade 1 per the book jacket).

An ambitious overview of new approaches to human resources. Key to the book are five adaptive strategies: choosing to invest
in people; adopting a new set of beliefs; redefining organizational culture; transforming management practices; and ensuring
a fit between the first four strategies based on purpose, culture, and management practices and policies. The adaptive strategies
involve rethinking how to achieve business results, reexamining how work is organized, and transforming how people are managed.
The book concludes with the effects of adaptive cultures and practices on organizational performance. We at Stern's Management
Review (www.FutureOrganization) find this to be an excellent grand tour of new ideas and practices in organization and human
resource management. As a premium, the book includes extensive references, making it all the more valuable.

This is the perfect book for a young child on the arrival of a sibling. When mom and dad head off to the hospital to have
the baby, they give the older sister a toy monster. Little do they guess the trouble Little Monster will cause! Wry illustrations
designed as much for parents as for children, and a charming story about how even little monsters can learn to live with tiny
babies.

I have read a lot of marriage-related material lately, and I would recommend this book as the most succinct. It's a quick
read and gives lots of good Biblical advice, plus cites several other books which would be of interest. If everyone read
this book and took it to heart, there would be no divorces!!

"Math At Their Own Pace: Child-Directed Activities For Developing Early Number Sens" by Greg Nelson (Professor of Early Childhood
Education, Bridgewater State College, Bridgewater, Massachusetts) offers classroom teachers and home-schooling parents with
a series of pre-designed, inexpensive activities to use with young children that will provide them with a broad range of fun
and informative hands-on math experiences enabling them to learn how to solve problems creatively. The children will achieve
an awareness of stable quantities and acquire counting skills to 10 and beyond, become able to recognize and write the numerals
0 through 9, and obtain a whole-part mathematical awareness. Enhanced with recommended ways to present these learning activities
to children, and offering guidance on reacting to various student responses, plus customizing variations that tailor the activities
to children's specific abilities and interest levels, "Math At Their Own Pace" will prove to be an invaluable and thoroughly
'user friendly' resource ideal for preschool and elementary school curriculums.

Most medical professionals, according to the blockbuster MEDICINE AND THE INTERNET, connect by dial-up Internet Protocol.
. .to e-mail, with Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) or utility uuencoding sending files, images, sounds and spreadsheets
along with messages. . .to File Transfer Protocol (FTP), for the Protein Science e-journal. . .to Gopher, for the pioneer

new developments, the National Library of Medicine's HyperDOC, the New England Journal of Medicine, WebCrawler, Worm, and
the Yahoo Medical Index. As a newbie net doctor, it probably helps the most to access the List Global command for Internet
resource directories and search engines, such as Bitnet/Internet health sciences resources, Directory of scholarly electronic
conferences, Health sciences resources on the Internet, the pioneer Internic information services, and MedWeb e-journal listings.
And to find colleagues by Finger; Netfind; the Postmaster of the institution where the medical professional works; Usenet

After all, says Generation D expert Dr Luis G Pareras, doctors need to be digitally ready as well as medically savvy for a

I was considering online dating, and decided to get this book before I tried it. This book was amazing! There were many aspects
of online dating that I never considered, and luckily this book addressed them. The book was easy to read, entertaining,
and comprehensive in it's coverage of the subject. After reading this book, I feel that I am ready (and armed with the necessary
information) to try online matchmaking. I highly recommend this book!
