News and Media Books

This book is a relatively easy read for anyone who questions how revisions are made regarding historical events. It's a subject that has become increasingly important to me with the explosion in communication technology. It explains a lot of questions I never even thought to ask. Yet, at the same time, it left me with a sense of objectivity so that I could decide for myself the answer to the book's critical questions. The topic reminds me of an old film, "The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance." Its character Maxwell Scott says, "This is the west, sir. When the legend becomes fact, print the legend." This book truly resonates with anyone who has seen that film and knows not everything in TV News is accurate the first time around, particularly reports during a natural disaster. As a teacher, I can only say I hope more is written on the subject debunking common knowledge that's accepted as fact, but is really only a myth!

My kids are big Care Bear fans, so this book couldn't go wrong. They loved it! Although, I have to say I was a bit confused because the title is Trick or Treat and they don't go trick or treating in the book, it is about a Halloween Party instead. No biggie to the kids though, they loved it anyway, it was just something I noticed.

My granddaughter is care bear crazy and she loves this book. Plus Amazon prime is such a great deal, it's easy for me to send her her favorite books.

We speak Spanish and want our children to learn, so we purchased this book. The story is fun and the pictures are nice. We read it to them in Spanish, and they read it in English, as it has both languages. Our hopes are that when they become familiar with the story, they will read it in Spanish too!

There are not a lot of great books for kids. I think this one should be on every families library shelf. It in some ways would be good reading for schools to. The story of cars teaches lessons about coming around and helping others. What young person would not learn to give more of him/herself after reading this?

Really, it teaches following through on promises made, becoming and being a friend, the complete opposite of selfishness. Wow, don't we need to hear more of this?

Great book and does the movie justice. Cars is a very positive story with a great ending.

If you liked The Case of the Cheerleading Camp Mystery and The Case of Camp Pom Pom, you will love this book! Mary-Kate and Ashley are back at Camp Pom Pom,and this year they're going to the Ceerlympics, but "Princess" Patty's squad the Tigers from Camp Spirit steals their routines! A great book!

Since I collect all Mary-Kate & Ashley books ever made, I bought this one the first day it came out! This has a really cute story. So, for all those M-K&A fans out there, get this book! PRONTO!

This book was so wounderfulll i counld not hardly put the book down Mary- Kate and Ashley go to vist some of there friends in another state and there they hear about a Unicrn being spoted around where there are and there friend is raising flowers for there flower festival and somebody step on them and ruines them and she has just one more bunch left to save the Olsens are being Trench coat twins solving the mystery before its to late i wont tell you how it ends you just have to get it and read for yourself Have fun.

This book is very frightening. It will give you the chills. Mary-Kate and Ashley try to find out if a ghost is haunting Thorn Mansion and why. They find clues like ghost fog, shimmering lights and weird sounds coming from the mansion. They find some goo that belongs to the ghost. I give this book 5 stars because it was frightening and it gave me goosebumps. The end will really surprise you and give you the creeps. I recommend you read this book! It will really be worth it! It will be your favorite book after you read this!
