News and Media Books

This book, and this is not a stretch of the truth, literally changed the course of my college education. I was political science major a few years back when I took a politics and media course. Professor Kerbel's book was one of several we read. Kerbel does a masterful job of what can be a dry subject. Kerbel hits all the relevant theory and still keeps the narrative moving. This book can be read by a student or someone with a interest in politics or the media. It literally changed the way I view media coverage of politics. Because of this book, I spent a summer at CNN and wrote my thesis on this topic. A tour de force!

I saw this on Amazon and wondered what it was like, so I picked it up.

This is an excellent book for the kids. Adapted from the movie, the book takes the reader through The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe from Edmund's point of view and interjects what he may have been thinking along the way.

It also has black and white photos from the movie.

For itz tiny size, it is as complete as it can be, I was amazed at how much was fit inside this tiny book, it truly is a pocket size book, but easily readable, print is of good enough size to read easily. Buy it! I'm a beginner in this EFT, so I like to have the tiny book to keep handy when I'm away from home to refresh my memory in the sequences of tapping and the phrasing possibilities..
I notice someone tagged this as "occult" and I must say it is NOT, it is simply a basic science of all things broke down to its basic life energies-God given, that gives all life, plant, animal, human. So basic and yet in some ways too deep for a layman to explain. I only understand it in an abstract way, but I am God fearing person so I would not be interested nor believe if it were occult in any way!!!

The Easter Bunny brought this book to my 3 1/2 year old daughter. We have read this book every night since Easter. It has pictures inserted within the sentences so kids can participate too. Clever idea-love these kind of books!

I read this book and it is really good! You don't expect Holly's mother to be pregnant with their already packed house and huge family, but she is! In this book, Holly's middle name is exposed. There are much more secrets in this story than you would imagine, and more on the custody aggrement between her parents.

I remember reading this book when I was in elementary school! I am American-born, of Mexican descent, where I grew up learning both English and Spanish. Now that I have a child, it's harder to maintain proper Spanish around the household. "The Berenstein's Bears New Baby" Spanish version allowed for a wonderful transition of great, classic American children stories to be told in Spanish, therefore, incorporating the best of both worlds! This is a book to keep on bookshelves that is great to read over and over again. It even helped me practice my Spanish as well!

Creo que es un libro que describe mágicamente los días de la revolución desde la óptica de un joven revolucionario. Nos permite sentirnos parte de ese sueño, de esa lucha histórica y comprender el presente de Cuba y el estado al que ha llegado la utopía revolucionaria en nuestros días.

This is a fun book to read. I think that Emily's friend Dawn Bosco is an obnoxious, materialistic child-snob. When she grows up she will probably be a yuppie who's goal in life is to impress the Joneses. DAWN IS NOT A GOOD FRIEND TO EMILY. She makes Emily feel shabby. She acts like she is better in every way. If I knew Dawn I know I could not stand her. Dawn is not a friend. Emily should have told her to get a life!

Enchanted is a good read for families. It is referred to as a junior novel and I do wish they would have an adult version because this is a good story for all ages. Fans of fairytales and love stories will enjoy it. I find the descriptions and characters in the book engaging.
