The doorbell rang this morning during our regular Bible time and sure enough our New Testment on 15 CDs had arrived! The shipping was fast and the kids couldn't wait to listen the their new Bible CDs. I was excited to listen to see if I was happy with my purchase. I wish I had these when I was a kid. My 3 year old and almost 5 year old played all morning while listening to the first CD. They love it and even asked to listen to the first one again. They love how the songs are incorporated into the Bible stories. It kept them interested and some of the songs are new to them so they listened intently to learn the words. I was hoping it wouldn't be cheesy and annoying to listen to and it's not. I wouldn't mind listening to this on a long trip. The packaging is also a plus. I had package design classes in college and I have to say the way the CDs are packaged is very creative and keeps them from getting damaged and keeps them all in order. They are numbered so you don't pull your hair out trying to get them back in order if little hands were to get them out of order. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase, I hope they get the Old Testament on CDs for kids, at least some main Bible stories, like Daniel, Jonah, and David and Goliath etc. It's a great way to hide God's word in their hearts while they aren't even thinking about it, I love this set, it also helps their listening skills because there's no pictures except their imaginations! I give this 5 stars, good quality and worth every dime.

Not My Normal Version But AWESOME for KIDS!!!!!

This isn't the version of the bible that I normally read or that my children normally read. However, this is put together in such a way that I even like listening to it. They weave the bible songs everyone grew up singing into the scripture as the song applies to it. Doing this helps break up the story and keeps my kids from getting bored. They have really done their best to make some off the passages that I wouldn't normally read aloud to children kid friendly without changing the meaning of the passage. My six year old has been listening off and on since Thanksgiving and is in the 10th disc and still enjoys it! I plan on listening to it each year until he is more comfortable reading. This is a good investment for the whole family. My two year old even listens and sings along with the songs. We enjoy ours so much that we gave them as Christmas presents to other kids in our family! I hope they come out with the Old Testament, too.

All incurable Kim Possible fans like myself will love this book! It is esentially the hilarious episode The New Ron written very well and neat. The New Ron is a great episode, Ron's new hair cut makes him cool but Kim thinks it may be a change for the worse. Also the zany Senor Senior Sr and Senor Senior Jr are introduced in this episode, they are such great characters and their background and motives for evil are explained in this storyline.

The story is written very well and accompanied by many photo's from the episode. While the pages are printed in black & white on a standard paper, unlike the gorgeous full color cinemanga KP book, this works well as it is written not comic book and for the price it's an excellent buy. Although I am too old to benefit, I guess this is the type of novel young children could get into to develop an interest in reading and improve their skills.

Overall this is a very fun book and a total steal for the price, also there was a bonus free holographic collectors card inside, so if your interested you should pick up a copy before they stop putting the cards in. I have seen similar if not idenicle cards on ebay for around $10 a set of 4.

This edition has two exciting Kim Possible episodes, "Attack Of The Killer Bebes" and "Monkey Fist Strikes". This is a picture book, with images from these two TV adventures. The pictures are very clear, art-like drawings. The book pages are made out of thick, durable paper too. This book is worth the price, and would give satisfaction to a Kim fan of any age. It's the perfect book to have, because with it you can see Kim any time you want.

This is the second Kim Possible cinemanga and contains the episodes 'Monkey Fist Strikes' and 'Attack of the Killer Bebees'. Like the first volume the storylines are told in a great comic book style using actually screen shots from the episodes. The book has gorgeous full color printing that is second to none and the layout is awesome.

Anyone who loves KP will dig these high quality cinemanga volumes!

It's the Law That We Love

Gore Vidal ventured that at a certain age litigation replaces sex. But why? What is it that both attracts and repels us? Lit illuminates the answers. Feel the angels of our better nature by reading the closing argument excerpt from To Kill a Mockingbird; sit with Dr.King as he writes out the whys of disobeying unjust laws in Letter From a Birmingham Jail; feel the straigtforward anguish of those who trangress the law with Cash's Folsom Prison Blues. Thane Rosenbaum's selction are inspired and often off beat(a closing argument from the TV show The Practice or a letter from the Marquis de Sade, in shackles, on the failures of legal punishment.) There is plenty in lit for a second volume---perhaps an excerpt from Measure for Measure or selections from legal noir fiction. No matter. This volume does not give us answers as much as makes us think on what the answers might be. The volume is well packaged. A gift for lawyers or those who love lit or both.

Law Lit is a joy, a compilation of segments from the best of the best, each dealing with law, its ins & outs, its practitioners & observers. I've purposely tried to read slowly & refrain from approaching many segments at one time in order to extend the pleasure of reading this wonderful collection.

This book should be read by adults as well as children. If you are a individual starting your own business for the first time and without any knowledge of how to manage a business then the lemonade stand is where you should start. chapters 10, 11 and 12 were very helpful for me. A well written book Mr Modu.

A must for those who want entrepreneurial children

I found Emmanuel Modu's book to be a necessity for all parents. Not just because it helps them encourage their kids into the business world, but also because it provides a guidline on how to help children become independent thinkers and happy individuals. Mr. Modu pinpoints many mistakes paretns [unintentionally]make while trying to teach their kids about the ways of life. After reading "The Lemonade Stand", parents will be able to overcome such mistakes and help groom their offspring into freethinking and dyamic people. If you take evertying written in this book to heart, you may be raising the next Rockeffellar or Larry Ellison ;)

My favorite Wiggle, Greg, is in front of this book, where he's telling us about his Network Wiggles' News...and Captain Feathersword's weather forecast with his magic weather sword and Dorothy the Dinosaur being a news reporter, and much more.

I find the book cover very cute because, it's square-shaped like a real TV. The color pages inside are great, too.

Very cute, well done book

This is a great book for the Wiggles fans. What I particularly liked about it is the vividness of the photos. They're just striking in places! This book is a tour of a day at Network Wiggles. They introduce themselves in the beginning, do a song, then Greg does the "news." They do another song and then Greg goes back to work at the news desk, and it goes from there. If you've seen them on Disney, then you get the idea. Anthony does his workshop thing but music with Murray is omitted, as is "Where's Jeff?" It's very entertaining, well written and a definite must for the Wiggles fan. A great book, one that we all here highly recommend! (Just wish it was hardback because I think ours is being read so much that it might wear out!)

A Subtle Commentary

Review Date: 2008-01-30
This is Bob Mills's best book yet, written in his chatty but informative style. Indirectly it suggests that Lindbergh (and the others who followed) were nothing but pawns of the news media and politicos for most of their public life. Lindbergh gets star billing merely because he was the first and greatest victim, and the one who struggled the longest, and perhaps most successfully, to get away.

A gem!

Review Date: 2005-12-13
Breezy writing and plenty of savvy observation about the way media creates heroes, and why some make the cut while others with perhaps more noteworthy credentials do not. Far from a stale history lecture, Mills writes in a very engaging easy-to-read style and peppers the books with thought-provoking commentary. This one was quite a find!

Review Date: 2004-03-16
I just recently read this book so I thought that I should review it while it's still fresh in my mind. I really like Lizzie Mcguire stuff. I'm a fan. Anyway, this a good and intriguing book about a normal girl, facing the same problems that you probably do.

Part 1:
Lizzie wants to win the Best Dressed award, but there are a few problems-the cheerleaders are always wearing more expensive, cooler clothes than her! Lizzie has her mind set on one particular pair of pants-but they're $65. Mrs. Mcguire offers to take Lizzie bargain hunting. Lizzie doesn't want to wear bargains, but she doesn't want to hurt her mother's feelings. What will happen?

Part 2:
Lizzie wants her pictures in the yearbook, but Kate, selfish as she is, won't put them in there! Lizzie, Gordo, Matt and Matt's friend, Melina, cook up a plan to put Lizzie's pictures in the yearbook. But will their plan succeed? Will Kate be taught a lesson that she doesn't always get her way?

This book's great. I guarantee it!
