Marge Rieder has done it again. Return to Millboro is a follow-up to Mission to Millboro, the first book about a group who
incarnated into Civil War Millboro and again 130 years later in Southern California. This book, like the first, is a mystery
and a study of life as a whole. I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it to anyone who likes a good mystery
or who is interested in reincarnation. You won't regret buying this book!

Not so much a book as a journal of beautiful thoughts, observations, contemplations. Barrett has almost died several times
and is now in his 80s. This book made me feel a whole lot better about getting old.

At last! Kristin Madden's long-awaited re-publication of her SHAMANIC GUIDE TO DEATH AND DYING is finally, finally available!
Originally published in 1999, Kristin revised and expanded this book to a whopping 324 pages of rituals, meditations, and absolutely wonderful stories from her own experiences. Touching and beautiful.
If there was ever a confirmation for me that this book was meant to be re-published, it happened this past summer. I'd led a rather unique healing and protection ceremony for the land at a farm two hours' drive away. I shared a ride over with a very sweet couple whom I'd just met and who run a "green" cemetery.
On the way home, they talked of the unusual encounters we had that night with the Other Side and how these encounters related to a book they'd read several years ago. The book was so treasured that they kept a copy from its first printing, now dog-eared and well-read. The name of the book? THE SHAMANIC GUIDE TO DEATH AND DYING by Kristin Madden, no longer in print and hard to find, even for $90 or more for a used copy. Between my experiences that night and this couple's recommendation that I hunt down a copy of the book--if I could--I knew it was time for this book to make its re-appearance.
And now it's available on Amazon, brand new! It's become the subject of much discussion with the seniors in my family, and is paving the way to talk about their own passing in a constructive, positive manner. Thank you, Kristin!

Last of the Mind Chronicles Trilogy, Signet of Atlantis continues the chirotic weaving of time through past lives and prophetic
future that is Barbara Hand Clow's gift. Her deep commitment to Earth's story is brought to light through the lives of ancient
beings, human and others, giving the reader a mind-expanding adventure into worlds within this world. The wealth of pure information
in this volume is astounding. Any seeker of any discipline will find a key to that which offers them bliss. Written in the
first person, Signet of Atlantis paints passionate visions of multidimensional life through the eyes, mind and heart of Aspasia,
Cretan priestess; Egyptian lion goddess, Sekhmet; Ichor Egyptian astrologer; Argolid, Atlantean from Spica; Allini, Pleadian
teacher from Alcyone, Inanna, Sumerian goddess of love and war and Isaiah, Judeo-Christian prophet. (There are others) In
true shamanic fashion, stars and stones speak their secret knowledge of the evolution of humankind, releasing a new/old vision
of life on earth for modern man- and womankind to absorb and become. The author's willingness to speak to ancient wounds,
tantric energies and secret teachings, in Heart of the Christos, (Book 2) is brought to fruition and healing in Signet of
Atlantis. Her courage in accepting the "mission impossible" of bringing this body of knowledge to light and into play in this
critical phase of Earth history is a fine example for people who care as deeply and for those who may only sense that something
is going on. The whole trilogy is a must read for those seeking to open their multidimensional selves to the depth and richness
of this planet we inhabit. There is much work to be done to manifest the wonder and beauty of life in full consciousness and
Barbara Hand Clow has brought forth a solid understanding upon which to build.

Bishop Martin's afterlife
Helpful Votes: 1 out of 1 total.

Review Date: 2006-05-20
Bishop Martin wasn't a bad man really. In his life, he was proud of being a bishop in the catholic church. Although he didn't
take anything too seriously. Being camp follower, he just tried to enjoy life, even although he had to obey to celibacy. But
then: He died! And there was no great welcome service in the afterlife! Nobody cared for the honorable position he had on
earth. Rather there was just nothing for a long and painful time. Since God was nowhere to see, Martin became afraid of the
devil. Then he had to serve whom he considered the worst of all: a follower of Luther! Next he even had to become handyman
of a fisherman. But then he realized Jesus just next to him as his friend and brother and this is when he begins his journey
back to God, where everything is treated and discussed and even the devil got a stunning appearance.
This book is a great read. The most serious and complicated philosophic and theologic issues are discussed deeply and clearly. No need to become a professor to understand life's very issues. It makes you grasp, how you never didn't understand it right and clearly before. At the same time the story is funny and almost like a comedy, esp. since Martin always is humanly, loveable and kind of humorous and Jesus is just beyond speech the most mercyfull and great being ever. It gives you hope that since Martin could make it back to God, you can do it as well, even just on earth and how you'll become a better human being, with the help of God.
Just like all of Lorber's books, you have to read it with the heart. Being overly critic and swell-headed, will render your study useless. It is a relevation, a mixture of natural and spiritual facts, to rise you to a higher level of understanding and science, and not a science book in the common sence. If you are able to read German, it is better to read the original.

Many of you reading this review may have come across our other review for the book "Parapsychology in the Twenty-First Century".
In that review we said: "This book was compiled by us [Lance Storm and Michael Thalbourne] with a very clear purpose in mind
- to combat the unsubstantiated accusations that are passed off as healthy skepticism against the psi hypothesis". That statement
only applies to the book "The Survival of Human Consciousness" if we change "the psi hypothesis" to "survival research". Insofar
as skeptics regard the work of psychical researchers and parapsychologists as misguided or not valid, we claim, with great
confidence, that our procedures are thoroughly scrutinized by experts inside and outside the field. To prove it, we feature
some of the best scholars in the world on survival research.
James Houran sets the ball rolling by stating our position that "the reality and nature of bodily survival is anything but a moot and unimportant question". Then Keith Chandler explodes the myth that our ancestors believed in the afterlife purely because they were afraid to die. Christopher Moreman looks at survival from the point of view of various religions and cultures, and he introduces `mystical experience' - "a key to understanding that all minds are somehow united, even in death". Following that chapter, Douglas Stokes then argues that pure consciousness can survive the dissolution of our bodies and personalities.
William Braud creates a scenario with a fictional friend Erica and together they discuss "some fresh re-conceptualizations of the afterlife, and some innovative methods of testing, and even working with, discarnate entities". Michael Thalbourne shows that the relationship between paranormal belief/experience and hallucination proneness is rather weak, and therefore afterlife experience can't simply be a delusion. John Boyd and Philip Zimbardo use a scale that measures the `transcendental-future' (i.e., the time after death) and they "find that the motivations of many religious people may have more to do with their transcendental-future time perception, and less to do with religious belief per se".
David Fontana follows with a looks at some real evidence from the past from mediums such as Eusapia Palladino and D. D. Home, and he believes that the physical evidence for survival ought be accepted by now. William Roll reviews the apparition and mediumship literature showing that many people have seen apparitions, and he considers the normal and paranormal explanations of this phenomenon. Stanley Krippner introduces After-Death Communications, which are usually positively rewarded in some way because depression or grief can be dissolved upon having such an experience of communication with departed loved-ones.
Icelandic research Erlendur Haraldsson presents an unusual case of a young girl from India that suggests a reincarnation interpretation. Pamela Heath and Jon Klimo then present reports of afterlife experiences from suicide victims, which show a remarkable consistency, suggesting a "commonality of humankind's underlying psychology". Robin Wooffitt shows "how insights into speech interaction can be gained by a close analysis of the conversations that transpire between medium and sitter". James McClenon demonstrates how our species has evolved a number of psychological and physiological responses that protect us from extreme trauma and stress. Finally, Lance Storm reviews the ideas and language used to describe afterlife phenomena, and he presents a new interpretation of evidence.
The above authors, whose chapters make up "The Survival of Human Consciousness," come from such diverse research fields as medicine, psychology, parapsychology, sociology, and philosophy. This mix of backgrounds and experience has resulted in a series of well-argued and thoroughly researched essays on the afterlife. If you want the latest, up-to-date evidence, theories, and cutting-edge ideas on life after death, then you can't go past "The Survival of Human Consciousness".

This book illustrates beautifully the polarities of the human experience, about which we attempt to reconcile ourselves. The
author does not attempt to hide behind her words, but rather, to illuminate the divine in our humanity. To read this book
is to glimpse inside the soul of Marcia Beachy. Her psychology of the soul includes story-telling and poetry, the places where
the soul resides, and yet, is also the product of a clear and uncluttered mind. There is not a single word misspoken, unnecessary,
or without purpose. This book feels, therefore, like a "fullness" that can't be explained by any other word.
As a grief counselor, I never dismiss anyone's sense of experience or that person's interpretation of what such experiences mean to that person. I've heard too many stories to discount anything, no matter how strange such perceptions may seem. The reader is therefore encouraged to keep an open mind to what this book reflects about our multiple lives (of many layers) and what the lessons learned are all about. "Stay tuned to your own inner sense as you let yourself contemplate your possible past lives. Much information sits delicately on our edges."
The book deals with the concept of regression therapy, with an introduction to the concept in various religious traditions, a middle that includes case histories of three different people, and conclusions and summaries concerning lessons learned. This revelation came to the author: "This is a divine classroom and this is a guiltless path." Ultimately, this is a book about healing on an individual and cosmic level, with the understanding that to truly be who we are, we need to acknowledge the dark as well as the light within ourselves. "We grow as we learn not to polarize our thinking and sense that at some level grace abides in all things."
When we are in the midst of our grief and loss, it is not always easy to remember the reason for our pain, or that "Beautiful sunsets are created from the `difficulties' of dust and clouds." But in the end, this book brings us "home," to our authentic selves, our spiritual, divine selves, and the fearless hope and triumph that no devastation or death can ever destroy.

I haven't read such a good book in a long time. It deals with all the things so important to people today: past lives, psychic
ability, psychiatrists and the fabulous locale of Big Sur, California. I was absolutely captivated. And what a terrific
movie it would make! I'm already casting it in my head!
I definitely recommend it and give it 5 Stars!
