Near Death Experiences Books

This is a very good book that I think many would like. The stories in it are fascinating, and help affirm Christianity. The experiences people had were incredible, and really opened up my eyes -- God is more alive than ever. He loves us all. I recommend this book to just about anybody, especially for those who are having doubts about their faith.

Collins and Fishbane, two of the world's leading scholars of apocalyptic literature and the Hebrew Bible respectively, have written what should be a classic treatment of the range of views about "afterlife" held by Jews and Christians at the turn of the Christian era. This book was key to my own research in separating pop culture views from those actually held by people in ancient times. The authors write with clarity, insight and from a depth of familiarity with their subject. As with other books by each author, this volume models how critical scholarship can be made available to ordinary, intelligent readers to shine the light of wisdom onto the search for understanding and meaning in our world today.

This book allows us to feel the indescribable love that God has for all of his children upon the earth. As I have read this compilation of various individual accounts, I have noticed common threads of truth and felt uplifted and renewed knowing that each person born on this earth has a unique purpose, that life has great meaning and most importantly that we are known and deeply loved.

Hick uses the common ground of mysticism to explore the Real, Transcendent Other behind religions and what may lie in store for us after death. He stresses the optimism of all the systems (the good news) and the need for selfless humanitarian action (love) in this world.

First of all,these tapes are very well spoken.You have got contributions from Richard Stack,Stephen LaBerge Ph.D,Robert Monroe,and Raymond Moody M.D. The first tape consists of Rick Stack's first OBE's as well a techniqes on how to have your own OBE's.The second,Robert monroe explains Hemi-Sync and also tells his story about the OBE.In the third tape,Raymond moody explains life after death as(life after life).The forth tape is about controling your dreams.Stephen LaBerge goes in to detail on how to do this with ease.There is so much information in these tapes.If you are interested in any of these things whether you are expirienced or not,this is a good buy,and worth every penny.I liked the realness and the expirence of the authors/readers.Five stars.

I gave this book to my wife because she only speaks spanish and I wanted her to know more about what I believe and believe in. This book, by James Van Praagh, is exactly what I was looking for!

In few words, it's a real story that will change how you see the life here and in the other world, the end is impressive. I recommend too the second part "The awakening hearth" and the third part "The ripple efect"

Alnor did a great job of researching, comparing and contrasting various speakers and groups. They (from Eadie to Roberts) support the now "Near Death Experience" era. ...and he told it all. His cons were based on Bible scriptures, a way to discredit those that say they have been to "heaven or hell" and back or had some spritual experience. He recited facts that most of us would otherwise not know about cultures, beliefs, religions, false prophecies and doctrines, and more. In order to determine if one is telling the truth (from a biblical standpoint) about their NDE or spiritual experience, put it to the test - use the Bible. It's got the facts.

You will be fully informed after you read this fab book. Dr.Browne-Miller has tapped into a source of information that if put to use in the real world, could likely change the way we all live (and allow for death). Angela has done human kind a service by being brave enough to bring this information forward. The concepts are dynamic and useful. I highly recommend this book and her others on this subject to anyone interested in the science of mind - and the realms of free thinking, cutting edge information. Lastly, this book isn't completely about dying... it is also about living a better way of life that sets you free
