a friend of 2 of the passengers on TWA 847Review Date: 2006-06-15
from Butler University in Indianapolis Indiana-and a PH.D. from
M.I.T. and Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena California,
I met a future hostage of the June 14th, 1985 TWA Flight 847
flight.
His name, James W. Hoskins Jr. Quiet, yet tough, and a great, young American.
Jim represented himself as tough yet quiet as a skyjack victim.
So did his future bride, and fellow hi-jack victim, on that
same flight, Katherine Davis Hoskins. Another GREAT AMERICAN
like Jim.
The Family Ties book, was and is a great book about ALL the
hostages.
Keep Up the GREAT JOB!!
Thank You:
Dr. Nick--"the HISTORIAN"!!

The most horrifying book on the HolocaustReview Date: 2003-02-15
The last letters speak for themselves--some are so horrifying that I wish I never read them. I am haunted by the despair and terrible things written in these letters. One letter, in particular, outlining the abuse of little girls by the SS, makes one think that Germany will--and should--be forever stained by its past deeds. I am surprised that few people know about this book.
The letters were hidden, dropped from trains, left with others--most of the writers died and this is their last testament.
This book is the reality, the truth of this time. People with young children should be warned about this book: when you read about the despair of these young parents you won't be able to sleep.

Final rescueReview Date: 2003-11-05
But this volume was written by city rescue officials in Oklahoma City. It focuses on the heroic rescue operations conducted afterwards, in minute detail.
To its credit, the book gives a huge amount of information about effects of the explosion, the number of people trapped inside, the number of people rescued, by what time and date, the locations and numbers of rescuers, and so on. This will be useful and interesting to anyone honoring those who risked their lives to save others.
This book is valuable in its own right. It honors the dead, and those who worked to save the living. It's certainly a good companion to Key's Final Report. It's also useful for readers interested in coordinating data available on the attack.
But it doesn't examine questions about perpetrators, motives, and investigations concerning the attacks, all of which still need a lot more answers.

Dr. Greg Dostoyov is a well-established and respected surgeon in rural Michigan. One of his most important and very-widely discussed surgeries abruptly ends the doctor's career. After just a few months after the seemingly routine and uncomplicated procedure, the patient, who is also a famous athlete, dies of cancer. The public goes wild and everyone blames doctor Dostoyov for the death of their hero. He is accused of neglecting the symptoms of cancer and lack of professionalism. Not having any chances of defending himself, Greg leaves the town to escape the accusations and figure out what to do next. On his way to another town, he meets Kate, who is a biologist. After hearing about the surgery and its consequences, Kate feels that there is something suspicious in the story and believes that Dr. Dostoyov should investigate. After some research, Kate and Greg find out about a similar case in California, where a radio announcer dies in similar circumstances.
Inspired by the findings and determined to find out what really was behind the strange deaths of two people, Greg travels to a laboratory in Scotland, where he believes he finds some clues. He does not realize how much danger he is putting himself into, and only after barely escaping death, does he realize that there is something big going on.
I.J Sarfeh created a fast-paced and extremely captivating medical thriller. From the moment you start reading till the last page, the book keeps you on your toes. The book is full of turning points and unexpected events and will satisfy the most picky thrill seeker. The romantic thread will definitely appeal to the female audience, but overall it is a great book for anyone who loves quite a bit of thrills in their lives. "The Final Victim" is strongly recommended.
