Max Causey was a 35 year old administrative engineer when he was drafted into the jury that was to determine the legal fate of Jack Ruby for his murder of Lee Harvey Oswald, who was alleged to have been the assassin of President John F. Kennedy. Causey made the jury foreman and during the course of the trial kept a diary written in long-hand on a reporter's notebook. The diary begins with the second day of his jury duty and is filled with notes taken day-by-day as the trial continued, ending on Saturday, Mary 14, when the jury delivered its verdict. Causey then wrote a short epilogue. Later, he wrote a memoir based on that diary. Ably edited by John Dempsey, assistant professor of Journalism at the University of North Texas, The Jack Ruby Trial Revisited comprises both Causey's diary and memoir, augmented with editor's notes taken from the trial transcripts, books, newspaper and magazine articles and interviews with other surviving members of the jury. The Jack Ruby Trial Revisited is highly recommended reading for students of the JKF assassination controversy and the American criminal justice system.

I think Jacques Cousteau was a wonderful man. He helped us out more than we know. This book was vey informative and interesting. I aplaude the author for having the will to write about an accomplished individual like Jacques Cousteau and doing an excellent job at it. Thank you Jacques Cousteau for doing so very much for our country and others. You have my sincerest graditude. I enjoyed learning about this topic and I liked the organization of interesting facts that I found in this particular book. I am a 13 year old Freshman attending Harvard, and I was very inmpressed with this book.

Carol Ruvolo does a great job of balancing what the Bible teaches on trials as well as what the Bible teaches on how we should respond to trials! There is alot of practical application and encouragement in this study.

I am a collage student at Indiana state that is trying to earn a PHD in history, mainly in World War II. At one point in my studying it came to a point about the Japanese being prosocuted after the war. I went to Amazon.com to find any books on the subject and bought this book. It is great, it contains everything you need to know about the Japanese on trial, which in not a well-acknowledged part of history, but was very important. It is currently helping me propel to getting my PHD because of the information i have learned.

As an undergraduate at University studying theology, I spent a term writing a thesis on the trial of Christ. I wish I had this book as reference for my research. Boice and Ryken outline several messages of salvation found in the few hours Jesus was persecuted by the authorities and the points they draw out are life changing. A well thought-out and inspired book. Even the consumate theologigian will walk away from this reading with a new insight on the importance of the events surrounding Jesus' trial.

Now in an updated second edition, Jesus on Trial: A Study of the Gospels is a classic study of the trial of Jesus as related by the Gospels. written by Gerard S. Sloyan (Professor Emeritus of Religion at Temple University; Visiting Professor of Religion and Religious Education at Catholic University of America) specifically to improve Christian- Jewish discourse. Taking issue with numerous demonstrably false writings about Jesus' trial that have been harmful to Christian-Jewish relations and dialogues, Jesus on Trial dissects the gospel account word by word at length, in full context of the social and political realities of the era. Highly recommended especially for theologians and anyone studying the Gospels.

I was delighted to read the newspaper bits, opinions, myths, lies, and speculations, as well as interviews with Doc, friends and foes. Fun and fascinating transport back to the time and place.

Great book by a great author. (I loved his Marbury v. Madison: Powers of the Supreme Court, it is on ... also). In both books he takes potentially complicated subjects and boils them down to the important elements, and does it in an interesting and engaging way. I recommend this book to any teacher - or anyone wanting to understand learn more about history and law.

This book is a great source for information on Peter Zenger, and most importantly, on his landmark trial. Not a casual read, as the language and structure can be quite an obstacle at times, but excellent for research into the topic.

Although my favorite Joseph book is 'With Joseph in the University of Adversity: the Mizraim Principles' by Dr. Parks, this one and Swindoll's are right at the top! If you want a simple exposition of the wonderful story--carefully done by a highly-respected author,then you won't go wrong with Getz. If you want sound principles for everyday life that you or a graduate can use--and really well-organized--go with Parks (if you can get your hands on a copy). Dr. Getz shows his skill best in his applications of the story, and we can all learn much from his effort. These are the best three Joseph books around.
