McDonald's Books

This collection has a nice variety of hymns and arrangers. A few of the less-common hymns are included. Arrangements are musically interesting and only moderately difficult (I was an undergrad piano major and am able to play them with very little practice) while still sounding impressive. I use this book quite frequently for offertories.

I found this book in some used book store and it has been my reference for many houseplants. I find its directions to be thorough, grounded and above all, accurate. I have kept this book for years and only had to buy a new one (ok, a used new one) because a cat sprayed on it and I couldn't get the smell out. The binding of the book is not great and I had consulted it so often that it was falling apart so maybe a good thing. the directions are really great and always work.

An uplifting book for children who have very busy parents! A great read for children! Vivid illustrations and it comes with an CD by Lonestar! Excellent!

The one thing wrong with this book is its title, which suggests...oh, I dunno...penguins? But naming miscue aside, this book is brilliant and will hugely reward those who follow its advice.

Driving the argument is original research funded by its publisher, Canada's FLA Group, and Mal Warwick. The research quizzed donors who made frequent small gifts about their charitable bequest intentions -- and discovered an almost-untapped philanthropic bonanza.

Of course, everyone's heard about the huge transfer of wealth that will occur as the generation that birthed the Boomers passes from this earth. Relatively little of that transfer currently ends up in charities' pockets, though. Why? Because the major gifts' strategy pursued by most charities is dead wrong, this book convincingly argues.

If your charity does well with direct mail, you can do very well indeed with charitable bequests, perhaps even doubling your income. I read the book on a two-hour flight. It won't take you long to see if this new way of marketing end-of-life giving is right for you.

It is rare to find a book that shares the full rollercoaster life experience of striving for enlightenment. We hear and read so much about the rosy aspects of soporific spiritual quests or the over-intellectualized dredgings for answers to life's most profound questions, yet it all still comes down to how we live our lives on a daily basis. How much love do we have for ourselves and for each other? Mr. McDonald's book really gets to the heart of facing each day's struggles as he strives mightily to discover who he is and the purpose of his life. Nothing seems to be spared in his narrative, nothing too embarrassing or vulnerable to describe. Few people appear to have this courage. Kudos to Joseph. I hope many who read his book will find a kindred spirit and realize just how fortunate they are in their lives and that there are many, many paths to finding God. It may take a little perseverance -- something Joseph has in abundance. ----- David C.

What a refreshing and practical read. This book will help all who love the church and want to make it all it can be. The reflection and study questions at the end of each chapter make this book a very useable tool, and MacDonald's practical application of Johnson's theology and theory is clear, funny, touching, and on the mark. I've recommended it again and again to friends and colleagues.

This book is the most Up-to-Date dermatopharmacology text with detailed insight into many systemic drugs for dermatology. It is an excellent supplement to the original classic dermatopharmacology text, Wolverton and Wilken's Systemic Drugs for Skin Diseases. However, this book is a bit pricey for a book with no color illustrations.

Indeed, the travels of George Washington took him from a frontier settlement in the Potomac Valley where he worked as a surveyor, to his military battles up and down the Atlantic seaboard. George Washington visited more of what was the united States during the years of his presidency, than did any subsequent American president during the 19th century. It was only with the technological improvements in transportation that 20th century presidents would match the travel accomplishments of our Founding Father. This is a wonderful guide for the inflatable or RIB boat owner. It provides answers to all the questions you have always wondered about, but could never find anyone to answer. If you own an inflatable, you need this book

I am so impressed by all the books in this series/line! My 18-month-old daughter loves them, and I even enjoy looking at them. There is almost always something I didn't notice the last time, and we both enjoy looking at all the things that are going on in every single picture.

Even the way the books are shaped is neat: the one about pirates is shaped like a pirate ship. The one about the old woman's shoe is shaped like a shoe. And so on. And the pages are some of the thickest I've ever seen in a board book, so I know they're going to last a long time if they stay dry!

I highly recommend any/all of the Charles Reasoner board books to other parents. They are utterly enjoyable as well as being very sturdy.
